Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L® Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello everyone! Welcome back!  It's Day 2 of the Quietfire - Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog Hop and Giveaway!  Are you all tuned up for more goodness?  Excellent!  Make sure you enter to win the prizes - read on to the end of the post for details!

Our first card today is from Diana, our Queen of CAS!  She makes the most elegant cards where the message just pops out.

Hi, everyone!  It's Diana here today to share with you my card for this hop.  I made a Christmas card with some very classic colors and papers - they were a  perfect backdrop to this beautifully lettered Christmas quote by Suzanne.

I started by stamping in black Versafine ink on a sheet from K and Company EB Visions of Christmas paper and embossing over the black ink in clear.  I then die cut the quote out with Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles.  I use the Scrapbook Adhesive foam squares to pop up the layer.  The matting layers were also from the same paper stack.

What's a Christmas card without some gold?  I added some gold foiling by cutting up strips of Scrapbook Adhesive Sheets and burnishing the gold foil sheet (from the 3D Foam Christmas Shapes kit) over them.  I love the subtle look of it.    I added a bow with some garnet seam binding.

Connie is our scrapbooker and has created this sweet fun page to inspire and make us smile!

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring some fussy cut patterned paper and lots of dimension from 3D foam adhesive.

The patterned paper is a leftover sheet from a line called ‘Where the Wild Things Are” and although the theme didn’t really go with the enlarged photograph I wanted to scrapbook, the colours were perfect!!   So all I need was fussy cut bits of the leaves from a sheet of the patterned paper and tucked them under the photo.  To make the layout really pop, I used 3D foam squares, both small and large to pop up some of the leaves, as well as the monsters and the stamped ‘We do not remember days’ quote.

For the title, I die cut Friends from a piece of white cardstock and  adhered it to the photo by rolling up small Dodz adhesive dots and applying them to the back of the die cut.  This is a very non-messy way of adhering a detailed die cut which also gives a little bit of dimension.
