Celtic Christmas Stamp Set

Hi Everyone it's Teresa here today to share one of my favorite cards i think i have done
so far.  I love all things Celtic and have rich family history in it so i let my inspiration
take flight and this is what i came up with.  It's super rich in color and has just enough
gold to really set it off.

I wanted to use both stamps on the front so i cut a piece of card stock in the rich peacock
color like the card base to fit both of them and then i used a really wrinkled up piece
of tissue to decoupage over the front of it.  I let it dry really good and then i use foam
daubers to apply 2 colors of aqua ink over the tissue. Then i stamped the image in black
detail ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.  The black shows through just
a little to give it a vintage look.  And just to add a little more age to it i used a
Versafine pen around the edges and added more gold embossing powder.  You will
need to adhere it really good to the paper with 3D foam squares to make it lay flat
since it is so thick. The printed back round papers i used are from DCWV.

I hope you like it and if you have any questions be sure and leave a comment
and i will be happy to answer them ASAP.  Have a wonderful day!!

Here are the products i used from the Quietfire store:

Die-cut Christmas card "Christmas waves a wand...."

Hello everyone!

It's Yvonne here today...
I love this time of year....putting up the Christmas tree (and yes... each and every year it's a struggle to find and put the right branches onto our artificial tree! lol), decorating our home and putting up lots and lots of twinkling lights in the garden.
Christmas simply brings that close family feeling and I can't wait to host two days of Christmas diners at our home this year!

Today I made you all a traditional looking Christmas card using only one set of die-cutting templates and one of the latest stamps by Quietfire: Christmas waves a magic wand.
The sentiment describes my Christmas mood so well!

For the cardbase I used a white card size 5 3/8"x 6 1/2".
Layer with kraft cardstock and patterned paper.
Die-cut Decorative Accents Labels 40 #4 (with #1 being the smallest die-template) and stencil with Vintage Photo Distress ink (using a ink blending tool).
Stamp the Quietfire sentuiment upon white cardstock and die-cut using template #3.
Glue die-cuts onto the card base using 3D foam squares for a beautiful 3D effect.
Embellish the card and...voila....

Used materials:

Wishing you all lots and lots of fun preparing for Christmas!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Yvonne

Snowflakes are the Fairydust of Winter!

Good morning!  Sherry here with you today and I have a card to share using Quietfire Design’s stamp, Snowflakes are the Fairydust.

Before I even started this card, I knew that snowflakes were going to be made.  They were the first things die cut, painted with a shimmer paste and then sprinkled with diamond dust vintage glass glitter.  Love all the shimmer and sparkle they have!

After the snowflakes were assembled and set aside to dry, the card was designed from the top down.  The sentiment was stamped and then die cut/embossed with ovals.  The middle layer was die cut and assembled and then the card base was cut to fit the bottom layer.  To my surprise, the card measured 5x7 when it was finished.

Thanks for stopping by and joining me today!

Jingle Bells - My Idea of a Perfect Christmas

Yogi here today with a Jingle Bells card... another one of my itches to do...

Click on either image to enlarge. Enjoy.

I scored and folded my white card (5"w x 7"h). Embossed the frame design using Spellbinder's "Decorative Labels Eight" largest die and my tan mat. Ran through my machine, then hit the high points with Distress "Pumice Stone". Dried.

Stamped the quote "My Idea of a Perfect Christmas" (minus the word "you") using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Added the three black dots with a micron pen.

Die cut the jingle bells (Sizzix Tim's Movers & Shapers) from white cardstock, then hand cut a solid under layer. Adhered the two together, inked it with Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder, twice. Applied Quickie glue to the two little curved areas and sprinkled with Ritz micro fine glitter "Stardust".

Die cut the pine branches (Impression Obsession "Fall Branch") from white cardstock. Left it clinging to my large piece of cardstock and inked it with Distress "Forest Moss" and sponged "Evergreen Bough", then removed it from the larger cardstock. Adhered the branches to the front of the card. Then adhered the bells.

I won a bunch of ribbon from "Little Scrap Pieces" and the green one was perfect for this card. I tied it in a double loop bow using my quilling comb like a fork... going over every second prong. This little bow style was taught at our last quilling session and definitely comes in handy...

As a final touch on the front, added some white pearl flourishes.

On the inside, stamped the Santa (Stampers Anonymous "Christmas Memories") using the black, clear embossing and coloring with Prisma colored pencils.

Stamped part of the other quote ("We Believe in Santa"), using only the word "Santa", stamping with the black and clear embossing.

Sponged the edges with Distress "Worn Lipstick".

Hope you enjoyed the techniques I used and maybe give using the tan mat for embossing designs with dies on your next card.

Gold Embossed Celtic Christmas

Hi! I hope you are in the Christmas spirit since it's already December.  It'll come before you know it!  I think that is why I love any Christmas decor with PEACE in it.  And this new stamp from Quietfire is no exception.  And I just love that it is Celtic inspired!  It's so detailed and pretty!. Here I embossed it with WOW gold embossing powder after stamping with Versamark.  I used Lil' Inkers Stitched Circles die to cut it out.  My arches are made with Martha Stewart's branch punch and Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poinsettias.

Quietfire Design, Peace, Christmas, Diana Nguyen

For some final touches I added some DMC silver floss and pearls colored with a red Copic marker.  I layered my background with some designer paper from Recollection Rustic Luxe, white Neenah and red card stock.

I hope your December is filled with love and peace each day!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas die cut card

Hello All!  Kathy Jo here celebrating the first day of December with one of Quietfire's newly released stamps, It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas:
It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas - Mounted
Suzanne really did a fabulous job on the stamp set (as always!).  I love the swirls on Christmas "C"- they capture the life and beauty of this time of year.  It is as if the swirls were created by a gusted snowflake or created after following the notes of people humming Christmas music.  Just lovely!

The card quickly came together: a tent fold card was made using ivory card stock.  Next, PinkPaislee's "City Sidewalks" patterned paper was cut to size and gold leafing marker applied to the edges.  Red card stock was die cut using Spellbinders Regal Frame and red/white chevron striped ribbon run through the die cut.  The sentiment was heat embossed in black and die cut using the second largest Regal Frame die.  Finally, a bow was secured to the top left corner and a gold star adhered to the bow center.
Thank you so much for stopping by!  I do hope you enjoyed the card and I wish you all a wonderful week!
Hugs,
