Tie it Up Beautifully for A Friend

Looking for a little gift for a friend?  Why not bundle up some beautiful ribbons?

I thought little pillow boxes would be perfect for this project.  Die cut the pillow boxes from white cardstock and then emboss with Spellbinders M-Bossabilities.  I found it really difficult to photograph these for some reason.  My apologies!  The Ornamental Swirl embossing is incredibly deep.  Unbelievable!

The box with the Sari Ribbon (above) actually has a diecut window that the ribbon is swirling out from.  You might want to put a little transparency on the inside to keep the ribbon from escaping. The quotation was stamped using Habanero VersaFine ink, which was later sponged onto the paper while the die was still in place.

Just for You was stamped on  - ahem, I can't remember which diecut it is! (I have to confess, some of this projects has been on my table for some time....) I hope this gives you some ideas!

Thanks for having a look!

Here are the thumbnail links to the products I used.

Those are lovely pillow boxes Suzanne :)

Did you find that die cutting after embossing lessened the embossing at all? Some of us here in Logan Lake have found that out.... so we die cut first, then emboss.... but I don't think any of us have tried the M-bossibilities yet.

I'm sure you're right Karen! lol! - I was writing this in the middle of the night and I'd made the pillow boxes months before, so I'm really not sure which way I did it. Under normal circumstances, yes, diecut first, emboss later!

Beautiful!
I really like how the embossing looks on these too. Nice gift idea for sure.
