Ho, Ho, Ho & Merry Christmas Ornament Card

Hey Quietfire Fans! I'm thrilled to be back on the blog today sharing with you my Ho, Ho, Ho & Merry Christmas Ornament Card which features a few of the new dies. Make sure to read all the way down to the blogpost as we have a giveaway to celebrate the new release. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite Christmas beverage and learn how to recreate my card at home.

To start, die cut the new small Merry Christmas die out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of the sentiment.

From the Flourished Frame die, die cut two of the scroll pieces out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of the scroll pieces.

Die cut the ornament out of white cardstock from the Love, Peace, Joy Ornament die. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Fired Brick Distress Ink over the entire surface of the ornament.

From the new Flourished Christmas Minis, die cut the Ho, Ho, Ho out of white cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the sentiment. Sprinkle Enhanced Ivory Pearl Embossing Powder overtop of the sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Choose two pieces of Christmas patterned paper. Die cut the 4 1/2" Dashing Rectangle die out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut the 4" Dashing Rectangle die out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of each patterned paper piece. Ink the edges of each patterned paper piece using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose a third piece of Christmas patterned paper. Die cut the 4" Stitched Fishtail out of the patterned paper piece. Distress the edges of the fishtail. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the 4" dashing rectangle to the 4 1/4" dashing rectangle. Adhere one of the scroll pieces 3/4" from the left and 3/8" from the bottom of the patterned paper.

Foam square the fishtail banner over top of the 4" dashing rectangle patterned paper piece.

Adhere the other scroll to the top of the 4" fishtail. Make sure that the small hook of the scroll doesn't have glue on it so that you hang the ornament off of it. Hang the ornament off the hook. Adhere the Ho, Ho, Ho sentiment to the middle of the ornament.

Cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 3/4" x 9", score at 4 1/2". Adhere your cardfront to your cardbase.

To finish off your card, adhere the small Merry Christmas sentiment to the inside of the card.

Here are a few close up's of my card.

Thanks so much for joining me today and taking a look at my project! I hope that I've inspired you to want to recreate my art Ho, Ho, Ho & Merry Christmas Card.

What a beautiful combination of Christmas patterns for your papers, along with just-right colors of inks and embossing powder for the die cuts. So much going on and it all blends so nicely. Great inspiration!

The different layers make this card amazing, and the ornament die is the perfect final touch.

What I particularly love about this one is that I can easily see myself sending one to a male friend (not saying it could not be universal) as I often find it hard to create cards that would be more appealing to men. Always happy to get some help on that front.
