"Always Believe" upcycled frame

Hello Crafty Friends!

Spring has sprung and, as a gardener, my mind is full of ideas for the gardens.  Last week my friends and I started various sunflower seeds.  The visions of tall, happy sunflowers in our late summer gardens has been the subject of our excited talks this week.  I guess you could say that gardeners always believe- that with our pleasurable work- something wonderful is about to happen.

With gardens on my mind, I upcycled a frame using Quietfire Designs' "Always Believe" stamp and "Believe" die.
Jet Black Archival Ink was used on Graphic 45's Nature Sketchbook ivory paper.  (Nature Sketchbook was used entirely as the papers for this project.)  Sweet butterflies and lush foliage create a natural frame around the beautiful stamp.
Believe was die cut and mounted on two layers of papers.  Lady bugs and a dragonfly grace the lovely die cut.
After hours of fussy cutting, mounting with foam tape and adding Stickles or clear enamel, my dreamlike garden wall art was complete.  Seeing the frame on my wall makes me smile with thoughts- and belief- that the gardens will lush and beautiful with life.

Thank you very much for stopping by!  I do hope you enjoyed the project.  Maybe it has inspired you to make a project for a gardener friend or yourself.  Feel free to share a link in the comments here or on social media as we would love to see it!  :)

Have a happy, crafty day.
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

I Believe - May Each Treasured Memory

I calligraphed this song a while back and it started floating through my mind again. I know the only way to get it out is to put it down on paper...

I'm using a couple of A Way With Words dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Calligraphic Elements 1" and "Believe" also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

Also using a quote and sentiment  stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design
("May Each Treasured Memory"); ("10 Tiny Sentiments" 10pce set)

Scored, and folded my  white card. (5"w x 7"h)

Stamped the Penny Black "Gentle Whisper" on 90# HP watercolor paper using my Misti and Distress pads ("Victorian Velvet" all over the flowers and then here and there with "Wilted Violet; "Forest Moss" on the leaves and stems and then hitting here and there with "Pine Needles" and "Shabby Shutters") misting with water and stamping, then misting the paper with water to get the stamped image to bleed. Dried. Reinked my stamp and stamped without misting. Trimmed the page down to fit my card with a border around. Inked the edges of the watercolor paper with the Velvet and misted, dried and adhered to card front.

Die cut the "i" which is actually an exclamation mark in the
"Calligraphic Elements 1" set (available on Quietfire Design HERE), and the "Believe"  (available on Quietfire Design HERE) from black cardstock. Adhered to front.

Stamped the rest of the quote using Just Rite "Brayton" alphabet set using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossing.

On the inside: Stamped the flower (Artful Stamper "Painted Flower") using the same colors as the front flower. Repeated to add the second flower.

Stamped the quote
("May Each Treasured Memory") and sentiment ("10 Tiny Sentiments") with the black and clear embossed
