All Hearts come home for Christmas

Well it's time to great ready for Christmas now that Halloween has passed-- today seems like a great day to get started on your Christmas cards right.  The Quietfire store is filled with beautiful stamps and dies to make cards this year and i used a special one and did it with white and gold papers to give it a beautiful and stunning sparkly effect.

The stamp i used is called " All Hearts come home" and it fit perfectly inside of the die cut circle.  I added a huge white snowflake behind it and then used foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives to pop it up on this gorgeous gold tag from Becca Feeken's dies.  The stamp i did with gold ink and gold embossing to match the papers and then i finished it with a gold cord and a rhinestone.

I am trying to use pretty papers and just layer simple shapes so that i can make lots of them to mail out.  Pretty but simple is good and once they are cut you can put them altogether watching a wonderful Christmas show or have your kids help you put them all together.  How fun!

Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!!

What Greater Thing is There

Hello!  I'm not a huge washi tape person - except to use them to hold my dies in place when I run them through the Big Shot - but I got this pink roll with swirls of gold in them and I really wanted to use them.  This new stamp from Quietfire Design was also just begging to be inked.  Hence the gold embossing!  I love gold embossing - and there's something about Suzanne's lettering that demands elegance.

I gold embossed on vellum and there is a lavender color wash behind it - just hard to capture - and then I adhered the vellum using the gold threaded washi tape.  I added some Wild Orchid Flowers and green beads to finish my card.

Thanks for looking!

You Are

Hello, Diana here with a question for you!  So have you ever bought a stamp set and used every single stamp in that set?  I actually have a hard time doing that - there's always that one stamp in the set that I must have and others I find I love to use but as much as I hate to admit it, there's usually a stamp in a set that never gets inked.  However, I am happy to say that is not the case with this stamp set You are from Quietfire Design.

I lined up all of the 4 descriptives and embossed in clear on white card stock.  I then used my blue and green Distress Inks and sponged over two third of the card stock to make the lettering pop.  The top third is gold embossed with flowers from Elizabeth Craft Designs Flower Power.  I then embossed in white on black card stock the "You Are" and popped it up above the background.

And voila!  I used every stamp from the set! And I let the recipient know in no uncertain terms just what I think of them.  :)

Thank you so very much...

Hi Everyone and welcome to the Quietfire blog today... it's a beautiful Friday so
i thought i would share a fun idea for a Thank you card with a little bit of an asian flair.

The Thank you set of stamps has 4 stamps in the set and each of them has a really unique and
pretty style to them.  I chose this one because the lettering went so well with the papers from
Ruby Rock-it.  For the backround i just layered a few of the rectangles in the papers and then
fussy cut some flowers from another of the papers to create the design on the side.  Then i had
fun inking it up a little with gold embossing ink and some gold embossing powder to match
the sentiment with.  It was super easy and lots of fun to do.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a really wonderful day.... Teresa
