Tutorial with Video! Fancy Fold Friendship card

Hello Crafty Friends!

Are you a member of the Suzanne Cannon Fan Group on Facebook?  It is a happy place for fans of Suzanne to see projects using her product, learn about special sales, be the first to learn about new product, and watch Facebook Lives that share new techniques and tutorials.  The FB Lives occur on most Thursday evenings at 7pm EST and sometimes during the week we might share a special FB Live.

Last Thursday I shared a fancy fold card using three of Suzanne's gorgeous stamps.  The card has special folds revealing a sweet hidden message:
Lift the band and then the banner to reveal the sentiment:
The card is fun and easy to make!  Check out the video for the card instructions (Click here if you are viewing this through email):

Happy Halloween! Something Wicked this way comes!

Happy Halloween!

Suzanne asked if I wanted to do the Halloween post and I jumped at the idea...I love creating Halloween projects!  I pulled out the wickedly awesome stamp set, Something Wicked, and started playing.

Something Wicked 2018, Set of 6 Stamps - Mounted

The card is a fancy fold layout with spellbinding textures and details.

The quote was stamped and heat embossed using the new Modern Gilding Powder in Gothic Black.  After die cutting the mat (below the quote), I heat embossed it using Kells Gold.  What a monstrously cool gold mat!  Next I created an orange wrinkly bow and adhered it to the card front.  The flower is also embossed using Acanthus Teal Modern Gilding Powder.  It matches the papers perfectly and gives a boo-tiful detail to the flower.

More embossing for the inside of the card and- wow- it is quite the spook-tastic contrast to the aged, distressed Halloween papers.  In the bottom right corner I lightly tapped Versamark on the paper and added Kells Gold embossing.  Sometimes the smallest details can make ghoulishly delightful areas of interest.

Very happy with how the card turned out!  It captures the frightful fun of Halloween and the fangtastic fun of crafting!  Win-win.  :)

Have you tried the Modern Gilding Powders?  They are so versatile and help to create the smoothest embossing details on your projects.  (They will look great on your upcoming holiday projects!)

Have a Happy Halloween!
