We’re adding to the growing collection of snowflake quotes
available on the Quietfire site! I just counted 17 stamps and sets about snow
or with snowflakes! We’re using this new stamp to make a fun card with
Distress Oxides. The colours remind you of icy winter days!
Here is how you can make this card. I did my best to match the cardstock to the Distress colours. It took me a while!!
Supplies:
Quietfire A Whisper on my Nose Imagine Crafts VersaMark
Imagine Crafts VersaMagic Ocean Depth
Ranger Distress Oxides – Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio,
Broken China, Peacock Feathers
Ranger Specialty Stamping Paper
Ranger Clear Embossing Powder
Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool
American Crafts Cardstock - PowderRanger Specialty Stamping Paper
Ranger Clear Embossing Powder
Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool
Core’dinations Cardstock - Nassau Blue
Scrapbook Adhesives EZ Runner Permanent Strips
Scrapbook Adhesives Crafty Foam Tape
Staples White Cardstock
Spritzer bottle
Craft Mat
Stamp Positioner
Heat tool
1.
Form a 5” square tent fold card base from Nassau
Blue cardstock.
2.
Cut a piece of Specialty Stamping paper
approximately 6” square. Stamp snowflakes from A Whisper on my Nose stamp set
randomly, but avoiding the center of your piece (where you will stamp the
sentiment) with VersaMark. Apply clear
embossing powder to the stamped snowflakes and heat emboss.
3.
Apply Distress Oxides to your craft mat, spritz
with water and lay your embossed snowflakes face down. Don’t rub, just press, then lift. If you like the look, allow to dry. You can repeat this process, which I did,
using more Salty Ocean. When the piece
was dry, blend some more ink on the white spots and then misted the
surface. Allow to dry.
4.
Use a stamp positioning tool to stamp the
sentiment with VersaMagic Ocean Depth as shown.
Trim this panel to 4” square and adhere to a mat cut slightly larger
from white cardstock. Mat again with Powder cardstock using foam tape and
adhere to card base with more foam tape.
Have fun! Thanks for taking a look!
