Hi There!!!! It's Wanda (Art By Wanda) today to share a round card with you. I've used 2 of Suzanne's cutting dies and 2 of her stamps.
For the background we have Distress Oxide Inks (Ranger Ink) onto Dylusions Mixed Media Cardstock (Ranger Ink). Starting at the center of my paper I applied the inks directly from the ink pads - Fossilized Amber in the center, then working out both directions, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet. After putting the inks on the paper I sprayed a lot of water on the paper so the colors would bleed together.
Over the wet inks I put a piece of plastic wrap making sure there were wrinkles in the plastic.
I left this to sit for a few hours, removed the plastic wrap....
and finished drying the paper with a heat tool. You could leave it sit over night and it would probably be dry. I think the lines from the plastic wrap would stay crisper if you let it air dry completely before removing the plastic wrap. I was a little impatient and I think the lines softened while drying it with the heat tool.
Once dry, I folded the paper in half and cut the circle using the largest Stitched Circle die (Elizabeth Craft Designs) placing the edge of the die beyond the fold so it would be a folded card.
Using the Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, I stamped the quote with Archival Ink Jet Black repeating the stamping a few times to get a nice dark image.
I die cut the word courage once from purple cardstock and three times from white cardstock. I glued them all together to give the word some dimension and the white also helps it to stand out more.
The detailed butterfly was cut from white cardstock, inked with Distress Oxides Inks, and the outside edges highlighted with Nuvo Embellishment Mousse, Royal Albergine (Tonic Studios). I also very lightly used my finger to put some of the mousse onto the word courage. After attaching the butterfly to the card, just in the body area, I added drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops Ivory Seashell. I intended to have five drops but wiggled and caused two drops to come together. I decided it would be fine and left it.
The leaf image is from the Where Flowers Bloom Collection and was stamped with Archival Ink Jet Black. I also stamped some on the back of the card.
I hope you've enjoyed today's card!!! If you have a minute, please leave us a comment.
Hugs, Wanda

This is gorgeous Wanda, I have (so far) resisted buying Distress Oxides but you're tempting me ;)
Thank you, Jo!!! I like the oxides and how the finish is different from regular distress inks. However, you could also do this technique with regular distress inks and it would look cool.
Simply stunning! Love the plastic wrap technique!
Thank you, Jean!!! It's a fun one!!!
