Let it snow....

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with a card using the Quietfire Design stampset "Let it Snow Flourished Snowflakes".

It took just this gorgeous set of stamps to make the card...no patterned paper, no die-templates!
It's so simple to make your own patterned paper.

How to make the card:
  1. Stamp the snowfalkes of the stampset upon white cardstock using a gold (metallic) inkpad.
  2. Cut the snowflake patterned paper you just made to a rectangle and mat upon dark blue cardstock.
  3. Glue upon a cream card base.
  4. Stamp the sentiment upon dark blue cardstock using an embossing inkpad. Sprinkle some white embossing powder upon and heat using a heat tool. (tip: you can also use a white inkpad if you do not have a heat tool).
  5. Cut a banner from the stamped cardstock and  mat using cream cardstock.
  6. Glue the banner onto the cadbase using 3D foam tape.
  7. finish the card with some gold colored rhinestones.

Yep...it's that simple :-)

I hope you like the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wishing you and your family a lovely Christmas...

I will write peace...

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with a new card in Christmas style.
For my card I used the Quietfire Design stamp "I will write Peace".

The text is stamped using green ink, matching the used paterned papers.
The die-cuts are lifted up using 3D foam tape and the berries, rhinestones and  pearls complete te card.
Hope the card gives you some Christmas inspiration to get creative yourself!

Thanks so much for stopping by
and wishing you a crafty day!

Merry Christmas....

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with  a CAS (clean and simple) Christmas card using the Quietfire Design/ECD A Way With Words metal cutting die "Merry Christmas 2" (set of 2 dies).

The trees and snowflakes were created using ECD stencils and Structure paste.
After taking of the stencil (while the structure paste is still moist) I sprinkled on some white glitter for an extra snowy effect.

To give an extra 3D effect to the card the die-cut was glued upon the card using little pieces of 3D foam tape.

I hope you like the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yvonne

Friends are those rare people....

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with a card about how precious real friendship is.
For the card I used Quietfire Design's stamp "Friends are those rare people".
Fitting the season the card is in autumn colours.
For the background dull gold leaves were die-cut and glued upon burgundy cardstock.

Used materials:
  • Quietfire Design: Friends are those rare people (stamp)
  • Archival ink: Jet Black, acrylic stamp block
  • cardstock: white, kraft, burgundy, dull gold
  • die-templates
  • mulberry flowers, stamens, berries,  leaves and a ribbon bow
  • 3D foam tape, glue, scissors, bone folder, paper trimmer

I hope you like the card and I am looking forward to your comments.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs from Holland,
Yvonne
