Welcome Little One - card give away :-)

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with a new card combining a gorgeous Quietfire Design stamp with a Quietfire Design-ECD die-template.
Since the card is in pink it's meant for a newborn baby girl.
We have a granddaughter on the way (end June) and that was my inspiration for this card.

Since I am so happy about this, I would like to give away this card to a randomly chosen commentor on this blogpost.
So...if you would like a chance to win the card, simply leave a comment under this blogpost.
My next Quietfire Design blogpost will be on May 5th and I will announce the winner in that blogpost.
Good luck!

Used materials:

I hope you like the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a great day!

Hugs from Holland,
Yvonne

A Way With Words - Congratulations

Welcome to A Way With Words!  Each day during this event we’re sharing projects made with the brand new Elizabeth Craft Designs word dies.  All these designs are from
original hand lettering by Suzanne Cannon
and can be found on the Quietfire site, and on the Elizabeth Craft Designs site.

It's Wanda here today and I hope you've been enjoying all the inspiration with the new dies, I know I have!!!!!!!!

I'm sharing three cards today all using the Congratulations die.  There are many big events and even more little accomplishments in life when we can tell someone "Congratulations" and share how proud we are of them!!  It's good to have a stash of cards ready so we can just grab one and not miss an opportunity to put a smile in their day!!  All my cards today are quick and easy cards.

For this first card I've used an Elizabeth Craft Designs embossing folder (E121 Bouquet) to create my background.  I inked one side of the embossing folder with Distress Ink (fossilized amber), embossed a piece of white cardstock, sprayed the inked and embossed piece with Perfect Pearls (perfect pearl), and distressed the edges.  This is layered to a colored panel, wrapped with lace and twine, and attached to the folded white card.  Congratulations is die cut from colored paper with Elizabeth Craft Designs double sided adhesive on the back and attached to the card.  A paper flower with a brad finish it up.

The background on this card is created by laying a silk leaf stem onto white cardstock and spraying over it with Dylusions ink spray.  Once dry the edges were distressed and it was layered onto black and then the folded white card.  Congratulations is cut from black card with double sided adhesive on the back.

This final card uses Elizabeth Craft Designs Peel-Off Stickers to make the flower.  I used individual "wings" from sheet #ECD0414 placing them to make a flower and drew the stem with a Pitt pen.  Color was added with Distress markers.  I inked a scrap of white cardstock (large enough to cut congratulations from) with Distress Ink salty ocean going from lighter to darker with my inking, put double sided adhesive on the back, cut my word and added it to the card.  I used a water brush and spattered salty ocean ink over the panel.  This is layered to a second panel inked with salty ocean and then to the folded white card.

I hope you've enjoyed today's cards!!!!

~Wanda
