Ribbon Streamers Congratulations Card

Ribbon Panel Cards

 Hi there!  It's just Suzanne popping to share a little bit of information from this week's Facebook Live broadcast.

This week I shared a technique showing a way to incorporate your ribbon stash into your cards that doesn't involve bow-making!  It can be bright or subdued and works really well with the A Way With Words diecuts.

Clear Double Sided Adhesive - 5mm tape 

Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares

With Every Leave a Miracle...Card using Leaves Stamp Set and Gilding Powder

The signs are everywhere, especially in Alberta where the days are shorter, cooler and the leaves are already starting to change, fall is just around the corner. There is not much I do not LOVE about fall, it’s no coincidence I was drawn to Quietfire Design’s Leaves stamp set, now available through Emerald Creek Craft Supplies.

My friend Kerry and I will be hosting a Botanical Gel Plate Printing demo for the Great Canadian VIRTUAL Scrapbook Carnival. I used one of the prints I created while prepping for the demo. I scanned this print to my computer so I can use it over and over. I really loved how it turned out and the colours are so yummy!

I brushed a bit of Perfect Project on my paper, it helps embossing powder to stick ONLY where I have ink. Using the maple leaf stamp and Ranger’s Emboss It ink, I randomly stamped my base paper. I embossed the leaves with my Copper Scroll Gilding Powder ~ this always makes me happy!

I wrapped and tied a lovely piece of ribbon to my card. This ribbon is hand dyed in small batches by my bestie Kerry Engel [ www.engelbelle.com ]. 

A piece of copper twine adds some extra texture and plays so well with the Copper Scroll Gilding Powder.

I stamped my sentiment from the same collection onto a piece of Duralar and layered it over a piece of vellum cut to the same size. It is attached with the copper twine.

I hope this simple card inspires you to pull out some fall themed stamps or maybe add some new ones to your stash!

Season's Greetings Glittered & Wrapped

Hi there!  It's Suzanne here today with another simple card. One that looks a lot better in person!  One day I'll be able to photograph glitter, but in the meantime....

Here is a way to wrap up your greetings!  I'll tell you how.

Supplies:

A Way With Words Season's Greetings   Quietfire Site | Elizabeth Craft Designs
Silk Microfine Glitter in Copper Rose (ECD)
Clear Double Sided Adhesive
Soft Finish Cardstock in Misty Mauve and Mint Green (ECD)
Foam Tape Adhesive
Satin Dotted Ribbon - Seafoam


Instructions:

1. Form a 7 x 5" tent fold card base from Misty Mauve cardstock.
2. Cut a 5.75 x 3.75" rectangular panel from Misty Mauve and a mat 1/8" larger all around in Mint Green. Adhere these together. Cut a rectangular panel measuring 5.5 x 3.5" from white cardstock.
3. Die cut Season's Greetings from white cardstock which has double sided adhesive applied to the topside. Remove the release paper from the double sided adhesive and apply glitter.  Brush off excess and gently polish the surface of the glitter to bring out the shine.
4. Cut a piece of ribbon about 7" long and back with 3mm double sided tape. Designer Tip: Narrow 1/8" ribbon works well - even twine or jute could make an awesome variation. Center ribbon on the diecut between the words and adhere as shown.  Trim to the edge of the diecut.  Cut another piece of ribbon and create a tiny bow.  Adhere to ribbon.
5. Adhere glittered Season's Greeting diecut to white panel and attach to mauve panel with foam tape.  Adhere this to the card base and you're done!

Now you try!  Combine your ribbon and glitter and see what variations work.  Have fun!

Never worry card

Hi everyone it's Teresa here today to share a card i did with the Corrie Ten Boom stamp " Worry".  I found some gorgeous papers by "Maja Designs" and it inspired me so much for using this stamp.  I love the way it came out.

The stamp fit perfect inside the circle die and to mat it i used both the Lacey Circles die and also the Picot edge dies.  And the papers are super vintage looking so i think it went well with her verse. The back is just layered with pretty papers and the card base is a pretty dark brown i had to match it.  Then i just tied a pretty crinkle ribbon on it in light blue and added a brad to match.
