Miss You Card

Who are you missing this summer?  These are certainly strange times.  Here is a card you can send to someone who adds lots of colour to your life, but you haven't been able to "play with"!  This is part of the Elizabeth Craft Designs group post. You don't need a lot of things to make this card!  Here is the supply list with links:

Miss You

Flourished Frame

White Soft Finish Cardstock

Micro Glue Dots

Instructions:

1. Form a 5x7" tent-fold card base from white Soft Finish Cardstock.
2. Die cut the Flourished Frame and Miss You from white Soft Finish Cardstock.
3. Type out "life is colo(u)rless without you" on white paper and trim.  Cut a mat slightly larger and adhere together.
4. Attach all elements to the card base using Micro Glue Dots as shown!
5. So easy!!  Now get that puppy in the mail!

Rosebud Wreath - Miss You - Love Collection - The Human Heart

Yogi here today ad I was in a mood to create a simpler card than I normally do... Love the way this one turned out.

I'm using several dies "Rosebud Wreath" 8pce set and "Miss You" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE    

I'm using rubber  stamp quote from Quietfire Design. ("The Human Heart...")

And I'm using a couple hearts from a clear stamp set "Love  & Hearts Collection" 10pce set by Quietfire Design also available on Elizabeth Craft Designs HERE
 

Cut, scored and folded my white cardstock to create the 7"w x 5"h top fold structure. Cut a piece of Co-Ordinations pink toned cardstock slightly smaller than card, rounded the corners with a corner rounder punch than adhered it to card front.

Die cut the leafy wreath from a tissue box cardstock (the whole box had beautiful leaves all over it - BIG GRIN). Spliced and adhered to the contour of a large heart shape. Adhered to card front. Die cut the rose buds from white cardstock, inked the sold layer with Distress "Spun Sugar" and the overlay with "Picked Raspberry" clear embossed. Adhered both layers together and then onto the wreath.

Die cut the "Miss You from another Co-ordinations cardstock, inked with Versamark and embossed with Pearlescent embossing powder. Adhered to front. I then used the fine tip of a black Zig Writer to create a shadow on the right and bottom side of each stroke.
 

On the inside: Stamped the hearts using Tim's Stampin Platform and Distress Spun Sugar and clear embossed. Stamped the heart outline using Versafine Clair "Charming Pink" and clear embossed.

Stamped the quote using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed on a pink cardstock. Trimmed down to fit the contour of the hearts.

Nothings says I love you like puppy dog eyes

Any dog lovers out there?  Then you are my kind of people!  :)  When I saw that Elizabeth Craft Designs had just come out with this cute Dog die, I had to have it!  (Now if someone wants to come out with a Samoyed die, I would be ever so grateful.)  

I used ECD's Soft Finish cardstock for my dogs and this paper is a beautiful thing.  It takes the Distress Inks really well and has this lovely soft texture to it.  You have to try it.

The Distress Inks and Oxides come in several shades of brown and I think I used all of them for the two different dogs.  The dog dies come with two different set of ears and I think it is a lot of fun to arrange them to give the dogs personality.  (I love watching my Sammy's ears twitch to different sounds.)  I had the two puppies appear to be popping out of two circle openings and I thought that went perfectly with the "Miss you" die.  

The Miss you was die cut on dark blue card stock and I used the same one to mat the card.  Again I used a long and skinny card base (1/3 of the standard 8.5 x 11 paper) so that it would fit inside a business envelope easily.
