Tea & Sympathy Gift Tag

Hey Quietfire Fans! For today's project I'm sharing with you my Tea & Sympathy Gift Tag. I combined a variety of stamps and modern gilding powders which were all perfect for creating this tag. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Tea & Sympathy Gift Tag at home.

To start, you'll need a 2 3/8" tag. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Walnut Stain Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the tag. Spritz the tag with water. Dry the tag.

Apply Emboss It Ink to the Grid Background stamp and stamp onto the tag. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp on the remaining portion of the tag. Sprinkle Copper Scroll Modern Gilding Powders over the stamped stamp and tap off the excess powder. Emboss with a heat tool.

Trim the tag down to 4 1/8". Ink the edges of the tag using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Tea Stamp Set, you'll need the tea stain stamp. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of cream cardstock. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of kraft cardstock. Cut around the outside of the cream cardstock tea stain. Cut around the outside and inside out of the kraft cardstock tea stain. Ink the edges of the tea stains using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Tea Stamp Set, you'll need the Tea & Sympathy stamp. Apply Emboss It Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of cream cardstock. Sprinkle Kells Gold Modern Gilding Powders on the stamped sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Fussy cut around the sentiment. Ink the edges of the sentiment using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Tea Stamp Set, you'll need the Cup & Steam stamps. Apply Emboss It Ink to both stamps and stamp onto a piece of cream cardstock. Sprinkle Gothic Black Modern Gilding Powders on the stamped stamps. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Fussy cut around the cup and steam. Ink the edges of the cup and steam using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the kraft tea stain ring 1/2" from the bottom and 1/8" from the left of the tag. Foam square the cream tea stain ring 1 1/8" from the bottom and 1/2" from the left of the tag.

Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the Tea & Sympathy sentiment 1 3/8" from the bottom and 1/2" from the right of the tag. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the steam and cup in the bottom right corner on the cream tea stain.

To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine through the top of the tag.

Spring Wreath

Hey Quietfire Fans! For today's project I'm sharing with you my Spring Wreath. I combined a variety of dies which were all perfect for creating this wreath. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Spring Wreath at home.

To start, you'll need the Create a Wreath Die. Choose one of the leaves as well as a piece of dark green paper. Die cut the leaf ten times out of the dark green paper.

Using the same leaf from the previous step, you'll also need a light green paper. Die cut the leaf ten times out of the light green paper.

From the Christmas Accents die, die cut the small flower five times out of a piece of pink patterned paper. Die cut the medium flower four times out of the same piece of pink patterned paper.

From the 4 Seasons Die, die cut the Spring word out of a piece of bright pink paper.

From the Butterfly Flourish die, die cut the small butterfly three times out of a piece of white cardstock. Trim the swirls off of each butterfly.

Adhere the leaves together as desired to create the wreath.

Adhere the Spring word to the middle of the wreath.

In the top left corner of the wreath, adhere two medium flowers and two small flowers. In the bottom right hand corner, adhere two medium flowers and three small flowers. Adhere the three butterflies as desired around the wreath.

Add white pearls to the middle of each flower.

To finish the wreath, create a little hanger at the top of the wreath using twine.

Everything changes.  And this last year has had more than a few changes.  This one is rather minor on the scale of things!  

How this blog is delivered by email will be changing as Feedburner, the service I've been using for years, is being retired.  Right now I'm searching for a replacement.  One of those options is Bloglovin'.  You can click on the link right at the top of this post and you can set it up.  I've used this service for a long time to follow blogs that didn't have email subscriptions.  

I'll continue using Feedburner for as long as I can, but Bloglovin' is a definite solution for now!  Just look for the clickable link at the top of this post for more help!

Destiny Card

Hey Quietfire Fans! For today's project I'm sharing with you my spring feeling Destiny Card. I combined a variety of dies and stamps, which were all perfect for creating this card. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Destiny Card at home.

To start, you need to die cut a 4" Stitched Rounded Rectangle out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of the paper using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 3 3/4" Fitted Rectangle out of a piece of white cardstock. Apply Aquamarine Ink to the Dotted Harlequin Background Stamp and stamp onto the rectangle. Spritz the stamped image with a bit of water. Dab off excess water if needed. Once the rectangle has dried, ink the edges of the rectangle using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 3" Stitched Rounded Rectangle out of a piece of white cardstock. Apply Wilted Violet Distress Ink to the Grid Background Stamp, spritz the stamp with water and stamp onto the rectangle. Dab off excess water if needed. Once the rectangle has dried, ink the edges of the rectangle using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Detail Black Ink to the Destiny is not a matter of Chance Quote and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Die cut a 2" Fitted Rounded Square out of the stamped quote. Ink the edges of the square using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Flourished Frame die, die cut the frame out of a piece of black cardstock.

Die cut the scroll from the Flourished Frame die out of a piece of kraft cardstock.

Adhere the flourished frame to the 4" rectangle.

Adhere the 3 3/4" rectangle to the 4" rectangle. Foam square the 3" rectangle to the middle of the 3 3/4" rectangle.

Adhere the scroll flourished in the middle of the 3" rectangle. Foam square the 2" square to the middle of the 3" rectangle.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 8", score at 4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Happy Birthday Card

 

Hey Quietfire Fans! For today's project I'm sharing with you my Happy Birthday Card. I combined a variety of dies, stamps and Modern Gilding Powders, which were all perfect for creating this card. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Happy Birthday Card at home.

To start, you need to cut a piece of dictionary paper that measures 3 3/4" x 5". Cut a piece of typography patterned paper that measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". Ink the edges of both papers using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut a piece of kraft cardstock that measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/2". Apply Emboss It Ink to the Grid Background and stamp onto the kraft cardstock piece. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp on the remaining portion of the kraft cardstock piece. Sprinkle Kells Gold Modern Gilding Powders over the stamped image. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Ink the edges of the kraft cardstock piece using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 1 1/2" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of a piece of pink patterned paper. Cut the fishtail down to 4 1/4". Ink the edges of the kraft cardstock piece using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Emboss It Ink to the Twiggy Heart from the Twiggy Heart Wreath & Sentiment stamp and stamp onto a piece of kraft cardstock.  Sprinkle Copper Scroll Modern Gilding Powders over the stamped image. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. From the same stamp set, you'll need the Happy Birthday sentiment. Apply Emboss It Ink to the Happy Birthday sentiment and stamp onto a piece of kraft cardstock.  Sprinkle Kells Gold Modern Gilding Powders over the stamped image. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Fussy cut around the heart and sentiment. Ink the edges of both images using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Christmas Accents die, die cut the small flower five times out of light pink paper. Ink the edges of all five flowers using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Christmas Accents die, die cut the flower centres five times out of white cardstock. 

Adhere the 3 1/2" patterned paper piece to the 3 3/4" patterned paper piece.

Foam square the grid background piece to the 3 1/2" patterned paper piece. Adhere the fishtail 7/8" from the right and 1/4" from the bottom of the grid background.

Tie a piece of white ribbon around the card front as desired.

Foam square the heart 7/8" from the top and 1 1/8" from the bottom of the grid background. Adhere the Happy Birthday sentiment to the middle of the heart as desired.

Adhere the two centres to each of the flowers. Shape the flowers as desired.

Adhere two flowers to the top left corner of the heart. Adhere the three flowers to the bottom right side of the heart.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 3 3/4" x 10", score at 5". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
