Hey Quietfire Fans! Christmas is only thirty days away and I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you my Happy Holidays Card which features a variety of Quietfire Stamps and A Way With Words Dies. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite Christmas beverage and learn how to recreate my gift tag at home.
To start, cut a piece of white cardstock that measures 3 3/4" x 5". Using a blending tool with foam, blend Candied Apple and Fired Brick Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the piece of white cardstock. Lightly spritz the piece of cardstock with water. Dry the piece of cardstock with a heat tool.
Apply Emboss It Ink to the Merry Christmas Background stamp and stamp onto the piece of now coloured cardstock. Continue applying ink to the stamp and stamping onto the coloured piece of cardstock until the piece is covered with Merry Christmas. Sprinkle Champagne embossing powder over the entire surface of the piece of cardstock. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges of the piece of cardstock. Ink the edges of the piece of cardstock using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam. Splatter the piece of cardstock randomly using Black Soot Distress Spray Stain and a paint brush.
From the Poinsettia Banner & Sentiments, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the poinsettia banner and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Water colour the banner using Tombow Markers - 847, 177 & N15. Fussy cut the banner out. Ink the edges of the banner using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3 1/4" Stitched Oval out of white cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the Happy Holidays Sentiment from the Poinsettia Banner & Sentiments and stamp onto the white cardstock oval. Sprinkle Champagne embossing powder over top of the sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges of the oval. Ink the edges of the oval using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the Flourished Oval Frame out of black cardstock.
Foam square the Happy Holidays sentiment to the middle of the black cardstock oval. Adhere the flourished oval frame overtop of the black cardstock oval. Adhere the poinsettia banner underneath of the Happy Holidays sentiment.
Wrap black twine five times around the middle of the Merry Christmas background piece. Foam square the Happy Holidays sentiment oval to the middle of the Merry Christmas background piece.
