Christmas is just around the corner...can you believe it? This month is flying by and I am hurriedly finishing up the holiday cards. Last week my hubby asked for a card intended for a work colleague. The card turned out to have shimmer, metallic lustre and was mounted on an interesting corrugated base for extra texture.
The fun instructions:
- Create a 5.5 x 5.5 inch tent fold card base from corrugate (or purchase a set from your local crafty store).
- Cut red metallic card stock or construction paper to 5.25 x 5.25. Dry emboss using an embossing folder of your choice. Mount to card base using liquid adhesive.
- Cut gold glitter card stock smaller than red base and mount using liquid adhesive.
- Cut watercolor paper to 5 x 5. Stamp poinsettia using brown archival ink. Dry. Apply distress inks along edges. Color poinsettia using red distress inks and a water color brush. Dry. Apply sparkle glitter pens as desired. Mount to card base using double sided foam tape.
- Apply gold Nuvo drops to poinsettia center.
- Use Versamark to stamp WarmWishes. Heat emboss using gold embossing powder.
- Cut Warm Wishes to desired size and mount onto red metallic card stock. Mount to card front using liquid adhesive.
- Create double bow and mount as shown using liquid adhesive.
- Cut watercolor paper to 5.25 x 5.25. Stamp All Good Wishes for Christmas & the New Year using red ink. Mount to inside of card.
The card is full of beautiful calligraphy, textures and finishes. Love the way it turned out!
