What is Christmas? Card

Hey Quietfire Fans! Christmas is only fifteen days away and I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you my What is Christmas? Card that features a variety of Quietfire Design Stamps and A Way With Words Dies. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite holiday beverage as you learn how to recreate my card at home.

To start, die cut five snowflakes from the Brr Die out of white cardstock. To finish off the snowflakes, add a Transp. Glitter/Gold Dot to the center of each one.

Next, you'll need a couple of Christmas patterned papers. I used three patterned papers from Modascrap's Christmas Holidays Paper Pack. Die cut the Flourished Frame out of one of the patterned papers you chose. Ink the edges of the frame using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the 3" Stitched Rectangle out of cream cardstock. Apply Potting Soil Archival Ink to the What is Christmas? sentiment and stamp in the middle of the stitched rectangle. Distress the edges of the stitched rectangle. Ink the edges of the stitched rectangle using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the 4" stitched rectangle out of the second piece of patterned paper. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the stitched rectangle using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle out of the third piece of patterned paper. Apply Emboss It Ink to one of the corners of the Leafy Acanthus stamp and stamp in the bottom right hand corner. Repeat the previous step three more times in each corner of the paper. Sprinkle Burnt Copper Leaves Embossing Powder overtop of the stamped images. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the stitched rectangle using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the 4" stitched rectangle to the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle.

Adhere the flourished frame overtop of the the 4" stitched rectangle.

Foam square the 3" stitched rectangle to the middle of the flourished frame.

Adhere two snowflakes in the bottom right hand corner of the sentiment rectangle. Adhere one snowflake in the top left corner of the sentiment rectangle. Adhere the other two snowflakes randomly on the sentiment rectangle. To finish off the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 4 1/2" x 11 1/2", score at 5 3/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few close up's of my What is Christmas? Card.

Thanks so much for joining me today and taking a look at my project! I hope that I've inspired you to want to recreate my card at home.
