Happy Anniversary Tag

Hey Quietfire Fans! Valentine's Day is right around the corner and with the theme of love in the air I thought it would be fun to create this pretty mixed media Happy Anniversary Tag which features a variety of Quietfire Design Stamps. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as you learn how to recreate my tag at home.

To start, die cut the medium Entwined Heart out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam to blend Candied Apple Distress Ink overtop of a piece of scrap White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the small entwined heart twice out of the red paper. Ink the edges of the hearts using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

On a second piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock, use a blending tool with foam to blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink overtop of the entire surface. Apply Emboss It Ink to the Twiggy Heart stamp and stamp onto the coloured cardstock piece. Sprinkle Pastel Pink embossing powder over top of the heat image. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Fussy cut the heart out. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Happy Anniversary stamp and stamp in the middle of the heart. Ink the edges of the heart using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut a white doily in half. Ink the left edge of the doily with Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Next you'll need two #8 Manilla Tags. Lay both tags out in front of you. Place the Heartstruck layering stencil overtop of one of the tags and sprinkle Raspberry, Orange and Rosebud Magenta Nuance powder overtop of the stencil. Spritz the stencil with water. Lift the stencil off, flip it over and place on the other tag. Lift off the stencil and dry the tag with a heat tool.

Once the tag is dry, place the Hearts Layering Stencil overtop of the tag. Take a palette knife and apply Texture Paste - Transparent Matte through the middle of the stencil.

After the stenciled image has dried, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Grid Background stamp and stamp onto the edge of the tag. Reapply the ink to the grid background stamp and continue to stamp as much or as little as you'd like on the tag. Apply Candied Apple Distress Ink to the heart stamp from the Twiggy Heart Wreath and stamp randomly onto the the tag. Reapply the Candied Apple Distress Ink to the heart stamp and continue to stamp as much or as little as you'd like on the tag. Ink the edges fo the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the doily to the middle left hand edge of the tag. Adhere the medium entwined heart in the top right side of the tag.

Foam square the Happy Anniversary heart slightly overtop of the medium entwined heart. Adhere the six red hearts as desired on the tag.

To finish off the tag, tie cream crinkle ribbon to the top of the tag. Wrinkle the ribbon.

Here are a few close up's of my Happy Anniversary Tag.

Thanks so much for joining me today and taking a look at my project! I hope that I've inspired you to want to recreate my tag at home.
