It's a bit of a different idea for a card design but very simple to do. Fold over a rectangle of white cardstock to create a rectangle that is approximately 4 x 6". Cut a corner off the front half of this folded paper as shown and adhere it to the back only along the bottom and right edge, creating a pocket. Cover the front of the cardstock with a piece of patterned paper and decorate as desired. I like the look of stitching, but rather than getting my sewing machine out, I cheated. I used a paper piercer and poked holes at regular intervals, and then joined those holes together with a fine black pen.
I also like texture so I added some clear butterflies to the background with the Quietfire Design butterfly kaleidoscope stencil and clear gesso. Clear gesso is like a clear paint or primer. This gives a subtle but very pretty effect.
Adhere your Hope word die cut to the middle of the card, and then tuck some tags into the pocket. I used shipping tags from the stationary store as a base. Decorate these tags with patterned paper, die cuts, stamped sentiments, handwritten messages, whatever you like.
Thanks for stopping by, Connie
