I don’t have any Halloween dies with Elizabeth Craft Designs, but I wanted to play in their Halloween themed group post, too!
I was super lucky to meet Joset for coffee last week in Banff and we had a wonderful visit. That gave me this idea that her puppy might want to go out trick or treating - so now he is!
We’re going to use the smallest Fitted Oval die to create the ghost costume for the little dog so he can have some fun on Halloween.
Pop on over to the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog to get more Halloween inspiration today!
Here is how I made this little fellow:
Supplies
A Way With Words: Beautiful Amazing
Dog
Fitted Ovals
White Soft Finish Cardstock
Glue Dots
Black cardstock
Red cardstock
Instructions
- Die cut Beautiful from red cardstock and do a little surgery on the diecut by removing the “e”, “a” and “u” with an x-acto blade.
- Die cut the smallest Fitted Oval from white cardstock as well as the required bits of the dog shown. Die cut the eyes and nose from black cardstock.
- Draw a wavy line across the Fitted Oval diecut to form a ghost shape and cut.
- Form a tent fold card base from black cardstock measuring 7.5 x 4”
- Assemble the ghostly dog as shown and adhere to the card base.
- Adhere the surgically altered Beautiful over the dog so the eyes form the “o”s to create B-oo-tiful. Flip the tail over the flourish and you’re done!
