Stamp Focus: Fill'er Up "Love" stamp set

Hello Crafty Friends!

We are celebrating baby this month at Quietfire Creations and today I am sharing a baby card using a stamp set that was originally designed for Valentine's Day: Fill'er Up Love stamp set
LOVE - Fill 'er Up - Mounted
This beautiful stamp set is not only great for Valentine's Day but also wedding cards, scrapbook pages, home decor and, as following this month's theme, a baby card.

Card Instructions:

  1. Use an alcohol resistant ink to stamp each of the letters onto white card stock or specialty marker paper.
  2. Color each letter as desired using alcohol markers.

  3. Die cut each letter using a square die.
  4. Mount each letter onto coordinating square patterned paper using double sided adhesive tape.
  5. Mount letter stack to a Kraft card base using double sided foam tape.
  6. Create double bow and mount to card front using liquid adhesive.
  7. Apply button or other embellishment to card bow center.

The card can easily be created for a boy or girl.  What I like about the card front is that it could also be mounted into a frame or onto a wall.  A sweet little decoration for the sweet little one.
Did you see the FB Live with Suzanne last Thursday?  It was a fabulously cheery card and Suzanne shared new techniques using a new (at least to me!) product.  If you did not catch it live, feel free to hop on over to the Quietfire Design page on Facebook to see the video.
Interested in seeing the FB Live this week?  You can see it on the Quietfire Design Facebook page this Thursday at 7pm EST.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a happy, crafty day!
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Love....

Hello everyone,

Yvonne here sharing a CAS Valentine's Day card.
For my card I used the Quietfire Design stampset "Love Fill'er Up".
These gorgeous letters are perfect for doodling or (like me) coloring.
Each letter is colored using pencils and then I drew some gold accents with a pen.
Sometimes less is more so only a few rhinestone hearts were added to finish the card.

Used materials:

  • Quietfire Design: Love fill'er Up (set of 4 mounted letters)
  • cardstock: white, gold, pink
  • black inkpad
  • pencils for coloring, gold pen for accents, self-adhesive rhinestones
  • self-adhesive tape

I hope you like the card and wish you a Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow!

Hugs from Holland,

LOVE - Fill 'er Up for Christmas

Hello to you on this wonderful Tuesday!!!

I actually began this project with Valentine's Day on my mind.  I went looking through my Quietfire stamps and decided to use the LOVE - Fill 'er Up set of stamp and a love quote. As I began working, specifically lining the letters up on an acrylic block, I was also thinking about Christmas and anything I had left to do and suddenly I was making a Christmas project with the LOVE letters because, well, Christmas is all about Love!!!!

Here's how I made this --

1 -  Cut 100# Soft Finish Cardstock to 3 1/4" x 11". Die cut top edge and then overlay (Elizabeth Craft Designs Tags & More 1 - Lace).  Ink edges with Distress Ink Evergreen Bough.  Glitter just the very edges with Wink of Stella (GL - Clear) pen.

2 -  Line up letters (LOVE - Fill 'er Up) on acrylic block, stamp with embossing ink, emboss with gold powder, add color using a waterbrush and Distress Ink Festive Berries, let dry.

3 -  Stamp nativity (very old PSX image) on smooth white cardstock with embossing ink, emboss with black powder, cut with scalloped, oval punch, ink edges with Evergreen Bough, color star with Distress Marker Squeezed Lemonade and then Wink of Stella Pen.  Attach oval to word strip with foam mounting tape.

LOVE Fill 'er Up card

Yogi here today with an involved accordion card using the newest "LOVE Fill 'er Up" letters from Quietfire Design.

Now can you think outside the box... what words can you create with these letters?? and if you have the "Fill 'er Up JOY" word, OH... the possibilities.

And on the front I'm using an Xmas quote... I masked off the word "Christmas" and put in the word "Birthday" instead. BIG GRIN.

I die cut several of the Spellbinders Label 41 Decorative Accents from white cardstock, sponging with Distress "Seedless Preserves".

Used the negative of the die cut to create an eCut file that is the same size as my die cut as an under layer and cut with my Cameo from white cardstock. Completely sponged it with the preserves.

eCut a larger piece and then a shadow of the larger piece. Ran the large piece through my embossing machine with Cuttlebug "Kassie's Brocade", hit the high points with "Mustard Seed". Left the shadow layer plain white.

Adhered a piece of yellow satin ribbon as hinges, adhering a piece to the front and back. Adhered my large yellow embossed piece. Adhered the preserves under layer.

Stamped the large Fill 'er Up letters on white cardstock using Versafine Black onyx. Created a mask from tracing paper, leaving a nice white border around the letter, then stamping with various floral stamps (Flourishes "Orchids" & "Clematis") with the black stamp pad. Colored with Prisma colored pencils. Adhered to under layer and then adhered the die cut.

Applied Quickie glue pen to the inside of each letter, again leaving a white border, then sprinkling with Stickles dry glitter "Cinnamon".

Inked the butterfly (7 pce set - Quietfire Design) using the Distress "Spun Sugar" & "Seedless Preserves", misted with water and stamped, fussy cut around it and adhered to the "V" piece"

On the front, hit the high points of the embossed layer with the preserves. Used the under layer sponged with the mustard, stamped the quote on the center drop out piece of the die cut using the black and clear embossed.

Added a piece of the yellow ribbon and a bow. Wrote on the ribbon with a colored pencil "xoxo". Added white pearl flourishes, and as a final touch added a quilled yellow ladybug.

On the back, eCut the large piece from gold parchment stationary.

Believe and LOVE

Hello, Diana here to share a couple of cards with you. After Terre's gorgeous black and white card last week, I've been inspired to create some of my own.  My first card is an in-laid/shaker card.  I used Spellbinder's Marvelous Circles and Standard Cicles to frame my sentiment from the If You Don't Believe in Miracles set.  I stamped it in black pigment ink and then clear embossed.

For the shaker element, I die-cut the largest Marvelous Circle die out of both silver and white card stock.  I then adhered the open white with the silver inlaid inside on clear acetate.  To pop up the top layer, I used fun foam around the circle and also the inside circle.  It would a waste of a lot of beads not to cover up the center of foam since it wouldn't show!  Finally I added a double red bow for a bigger splash of red.

My second card is also black and white with a pop of red.  I had just gotten the new LOVE Fill 'er Up stamp sets in the mail so I had to play.  And this card is mostly that... just playing.  :)
I stamped the letters and embossed them.   Then I just doodled with my black ultra fine Sharpie marker different patterns.
