Hello Crafty Friends.
You know when you have a rough day and nothing seems to be going well? This rough day may spread to two days, a week, whatever. Your car may break down one day, the next day your washer breaks and spills out an entire load of water on your floor and this pattern may continue to the next day. (That happened to me...what a week!) It may wear on you and possibly put you in a not-so-happy state of mind. It happens to everyone. Gasp! Spoiler alert: Life isn't always sunshine and lollipops. Next time this happens to a friend or loved one- or even you- head into the craft room, pull out the Floral Banner & Quote set, and make a card. This thoughtfulness can mean so much to the person having a bad time. Imagine if you received a card made using this stamp set. Wouldn't that make you feel a little better? Perhaps this beautiful stamp can bring sunshine to an otherwise gloomy day.
For my card I made sure that the quote was the focal point of the front. I chose darker patterned papers and card stock to ensure that the quote popped.
The gorgeous calligraphy quote is so very lovely and inspiring. It is a wonderful stamp set to have on hand. And don't forget to make a card or little sign for you, too. Your future self may thank you.
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a happy, crafty day.
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with a new card using the Quietfire Design stamp The Best Thing - Believe in You.
I love this quote....it describes exactly someone very special in my life...
For my card I used several die-cuts and used 3D foam squares to layer them.
The patterned background layer was altered with distress ink and an ink blending tool.
For the finishing touch some mulberry flowers, a bow and self-adhesive pearls.

For my card I used the Quietfire Design stampset "Love Fill'er Up".

Sometimes less is more so only a few rhinestone hearts were added to finish the card.

- cardstock: white, gold, pink
- black inkpad
- pencils for coloring, gold pen for accents, self-adhesive rhinestones

With very leaf a miracle...
Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with a spring card.
I used the "autumn"stampset "Leaves" to show you you can also make a spring card with the set.
Simply use bright (fresh leaf) colours to color the stamped leaves (instead of orange, yellow and brown) and voila....
For the background I used the dandelion stamp from the stampset "A rustle in the wind"and stamped with yellow ink for the spring-effect.
And added a bright pink layer for even more spring-feeling :-).
Used materials:
- Quietfire Design: Leaves #6082 (set of 6 stamps), A Rustle in the Wind #5593 (set of 4 stamps).
- cardstock: white, pink
- Black inkpad, acryllic stamp block
- for coloring: distress inks

Miss you...

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here sharing a card using the gorgeous Quietfire Design stamps!
Today a card with two stamping techiques.
* First the (embossing powder) background:
Stamp Quietfire Design "Leafy Acanthus Background" on blue cardstock using Versamark ink.
Then sprinkle white embossing powder over the stamped image.
The embossing powder will stick to the versamark ink.
Carfully tap on the back of the paper to remove the excess powder and if needed use a fine brush.
Heat the image with a heatgun and the embossing powder will melt.
Let the image cool down.
Then use some brown distress ink and an inkblending to to slightly colour the image.
Wipe the excess using some kitchen paper or an almost dry baby wipe.
The brown ink will not stick to the distress ink.
Die cut the image and glue upon gold pearl cardstock. mat upon a white card base.
* The second (simple) stamping:
The Quietfire sentiment Miss you was stamped onto the gold pearl paper using back ink.
Mat the sentiment upon white cardstock and glue onto the cardbase using 3D foam squares.
Finish the card with a satin bow.
Materials used:
- Quietfire Design stamp: Leafy Acanthus Background #6061
- Quietfire Design stampset: In a Perfect World # 5999 (set of 4 stamps)
- Cardstock: white, gold pearl, blue
- Brown distress inkpad, black inkpad, acrylic stamp block, versamark inkpad,
- paper trimmer, scissors, glue, 3D foam squares, satin ribbon, die-template set
I hope you like the card and wish you a lovely late summer day!

In Summer...
Hello everyone, Yvonne here with a new card.
I can't believe how time flies.....we're heading to the end of Summer here in Holland....the hydrengeas are fading colors and the leaves are about to change color.
So....I made a card to celebrate summer!
Fresh pastel colors and an amazing stamp by Quietfire Design is all one needs :-))
For my card I used the stamp "In Summer" (SKU5997)...I love this quote.
The sentiment is taped upon white cardstock using black ink and layered some die-cuts.
By using 3D foam squares you get an amazing 3D effect.
And I added self-adhesive pearls, a satin ribbon and a bow to finish the card.
By the way...did you know that Quietfire Design has lots and lots of gorgeous ribbons?
Click here to see all the yummy ribbons.
Wishing you all a great day,
enjoy the end of summer and
a big warm hug from a Sunny Holland.

Listen to the Music
There are lots of brand new stamps in the Quietfire Design store this month and wow are they ever t beautiful. Today i decided to pick a few of them with music themes and create a few cards to share.
First up is a card i did using the brand new release stamp called "Moments of Silence". I wanted to make something really special with this so i shopped around in my stash and found some pretty Bo Bunny papers that i just got and a chipboard frame from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts and set to work.
So first i stamped my image on vellum and embossed it with clear embossing powder and let it cool.
Then i took my frame and inked it with Versafine ink so it was super black and then i added clear embossing powder and heated it until it was beautiful and shiny like the stamped image I did.
To assemble my card i cut a pice of pink the size of the frame and glued it to the back with the vellum stamped image on top. Then i cut pieces of coordinating paper to mat the frame and glued them together like you see above. And lastly i attached all of it to a white card that i trimmed to fit.
This was a really fun and super easy card to make and the chipboard frame really sets the sentiment off in the middle of the card.
Here is a link so that you can order one of these gorgeous stamps.... here
And i had time for another quick card with the new "Music in my heart" stamp. This one i kept really simple too and stamped my sentiment on paper first and then cut it out with a circle die so that it was centered. Then i created a basic card and tied pretty black bias ribbon around it and added the sentiment over it. All it needed was a pretty bow and a rhinestone. And it's ready to mail out.

Welcome to our New Stamps!
We are here to tell you all about them and share some ideas for using our brand new stamps!
The first one is a quote I first lettered about 10 years ago and it seems to me it was a challenge for the byhandartists. But ahem. Those details escape me! If anyone remembers, let me know!
I always thought this was the sweetest little quote. It makes me think of spring. Our croci (crocuseseseses?) and baby iris(es) are blooming their hearts out and it's a beautiful day on the westcoast.
Our second new stamp struck me as a wonderful quote for Father's Day. But I'm sure there are many more occasions where it can be used.
The Quietfire Design Team has been itching to get their fingers on these stamps. Those that have them already have created great beauty to share with you. I've added links to their blogs and their projects will be along soon so you check all the details on each gorgeous work of art!
Aren't these beautiful samples? My thanks to Robyn, Selma and Wanda.
These stamps are available now to ship!
Happy creating! Suzanne
