Stamp focus: "Believe in You" elegant sweetness

Yesterday in the Suzanne Cannon Fan Group, I shared a card using the lovely stamp, The Best Thing- Believe in You stamp:

It is beyond beautiful stamp with the elegant calligraphy and the sweet, heartwarming quote.  The card I created for Show Me Sunday had the stamp heat embossed using the Gothic Black Modern Gilding Powder.  Kells Gold Gilding Powder was applied along die cut edges.

I really adore the stamp and couldn't bear putting it away until I created another project using it.  Lighter colored papers were used on the card and roses were fussy cut around the quote.  Again, the stamp was heat embossed using the Gothic Black Modern Gilding Powder.  The Modern Gilding Powders have a beautiful smooth finish and really add a special touch to a crafting project.

The black "pops" against the light colors- emphasizing the wonderful quote.  Suzanne's gorgeous stamps and dies allow crafters- new and experienced- to create crafty treasures.

Merci - Grid Background, Tulips, The Best Thing - Easel card

 

Yogi here today and I was in a mood to do something French...

I'm using a die "Merci"from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a quote and design element stamps from Quietfire Design ("The Best Thing"); ("Grid Background"); ("Tulips") 

Scored and folded my red textured cardstock to create my easel structure. Cut another piece same size as card (5"w x 7"h) and adhered to front.

If you've been watching Suzanne on Facebook Live on Thursday evenings, you'll have noticed she uses a clear plastic in her Stampin Platform. Great idea. I usually just shove a piece of tracing paper...

So I used the clear plastic technique and the "Grid Background" stamp and repeatedly stamped the design on white cardstock using Versafine Clair "Glamorous" stamp pad until my grid covered the whole of my cardstock. Trimmed down and adhered to card front.

Stamped the Eiffel Tower image (Darice "Paris") using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed on white cardstock. Sponged a bit of Distress "Salty Ocean" very lightly to create a cloudy sky. PS use any large stamped image or die cut or digital image of an Eiffel Tower...

Created a silhouette file of the tulips and electronically cut several from white cardstock. Stamped with a red and a green Distress pads. Applied some of the color to a craft sheet and picked up the color with a wet paintbrush. Adhered several to card front.

Die cut the "Merci" from red cardstock and adhered to card front.

Added a couple of linear flying birds with a black marker.

On the floor:

Created another piece of the grid background as well as stamping the quote with the "Glamorous" pad and clear embossed then die cut with Spellbinder's Oval die set.

Adhered one of the Tulip stamped images (the whole design with the flourishes) partially to the floor to act as my stopper.

The Best Thing I ever did...

Yvonne here with a new card using the Quietfire Design stamp The Best Thing - Believe in You.

I love this quote....it describes exactly someone very special in my life...

For my card I used several die-cuts and used 3D foam squares to layer them.
The patterned background layer was altered with distress ink and an ink blending tool.

For the finishing touch some mulberry flowers, a bow and self-adhesive pearls.

"Believe in me" card

 Hello Crafty Friends!  Kathy Jo here sharing a card using one of the newly released Quietfire Design stamps, The Best Thing:

 

The stamp is beautiful not only because of Suzanne's gorgeous calligraphy but also because of the quote.  This stamp could be used for graduates, new college students, a person on a new endeavor or just a wonderful reminder for someone to believe in his or her self.

Instructions:

1. Create a tent fold card using ivory card stock. 
2. Cut patterned paper smaller than base and apply gold marker to edges.  
3. Cut ivory card stock and coordinating patterned paper. Apply gold marker to edges and mount using double sided foam tape.
4. Die cut gold card stock using Spellbinders' Oval Ironwork.  Die cut patterned paper using smallest die from Oval Ironwork set.
5. Stamp sentiment onto ivory card stock. Heat dry.  Die cut using oval die from same set.
6. Mount gold die cut onto base.  Mount outer oval ring and small die cuts as shown.  Mount oval sentiment onto stack using double sided foam tape.
7. Apply flowers and pearls as shown.

Oh- the stamp is inspirational!  Suzanne really knows how to create and inspire.
