Treasured Memory

It's Suzanne popping in today. I'm delighted to be able to share my recent project which appeared in the Spring 2016 issue of CardMaker magazine!  (I have permission!)  This issue is available now on news stands with all sorts of good things inside.

I used Becca Feeken's beautifully designed dies to compliment the seriousness of the occasion this card was designed for.  It's clean and simple with a message from the heart for the heart.

With Deepest Sympathy...

Hello everyone,

Yvonne here today with a condolence card using Quietfire Design's With Deepest Sympathy stamp.

It's always so sad to loose a loved one and the ones left behind will have such a hard time to come...
Though it's difficult to find the right words to comfort, I always try to give extra attention to my cards  with a little poem, a note about  a last conversation or  special memory and last but not least a handmade card.
For these kind of cards I like to avoid the traditional black and give a card a kind of romantic, almost dreamy, soft effect.
You might call it a warm, comforting paper hug.....

For my card I used:

• Quietfire Design: With Deepest Sympathy
• Spellbinders: Imperial Square
• Black Archival inkpad
• acrylic stamping block
• cardstock: grey, white and silver
• Distress tool, ink blending tool, Distress inkpad Frayed Burlap
• self-adhesive pearls, leaves, flowers,
• Scrapbook Adhesives: 3D foam squares
