Wonderful ATC

Hey Quietfire Fans! I was busy this past weekend playing with the Life Doesn't Have to Be Perfect stamp set to create my Wonderful ATC.  Along with a variety of other Quietfire Design Stamps and A Way With Words dies, they were the perfect addition to my ATC. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my ATC at home.

To start, you'll need to cut a piece of white cardstock to 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". Next, you'll need a gel press and brayer. On the gel press, put a dot of Ruby, Magenta and Tangerine Heavy Body Acrylic Paint on the plate and use the brayer to move the paint on the press in order to cover the entire press. Place the 2 3/4" white cardstock piece overtop of the press and press the paper into the press. Remove the cardstock piece. Give the piece of paper a few minutes to dry. On the same press, put a dot of Lime and Turquoise on the press and use the brayer to move the paint on the press in order to cover the entire press. Place some bubble wrap into the press and remove, repeat as desired. Put the same piece of white cardstock over the press and press the paper into the press. Remove the cardstock piece. Ink the edges of the piece of cardstock using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Crackle Background stamp and stamp as desired on the cardstock piece. Reapply the ink to the crackle background stamp and stamp as desired on the cardstock piece as many times as you want. Distress the edges of the cardstock piece. Re-ink the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam if they need them.

From the Butterfly Flourish die, die cut the small butterfly three times out of black cardstock. Trim off the swirl part on the butterflies.

From the Flourished Frame die, you'll need the single flourish. Die cut the single flourish twice out of black cardstock. Cut one of the single flourishes in half. You will use the bottom portion of the flourish.

Cut a piece of black cardstock that measures 2 3/4" x 3 3/4". Distress the edges of the cardstock piece.

Die cut a 2 3/4" Stitched Circle out of White Cardstock. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Life Doesn't stamp and stamp in the middle of the stitched circle. Apply Vermillion Archival Ink to the Crackle Background stamp and stamp as desired along the edges of the circle. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp as desired as many times as you would like. Distress the edges of the circle. Ink the edges of the circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the 2 1/2" cardstock piece to the 2 3/4" black cardstock piece.

Adhere the full single flourish to the middle of the 2 3/4" cardstock piece, making sure the top of the flourish hangs over 1/4". Adhere the half flourish to the middle of the 2 3/4" cardstock piece, making sure the bottom of the flourish hangs over 1/8". Foam square the stitched circle of the middle of the 2 3/4" cardstock piece.

To finish off the ATC, adhere the three butterflies as desired around the circle.
