Meet the Modern Gilding Powders!
I'm so excited to share this brand new product with you! We now have bright beautiful detail embossing powders that can take on the look of hammered metal or brightly burnished precious metals. They are so much fun to play with! You can't imagine how many times I've said "Oh, Wow!" when I've used them. These powders are co-branded with Emerald Creek Craft Supplies. There is nothing that equals traditional gilding, but we don't all have the time or inclination to spend the time learning it. That's where these come in! They're fast and beautiful!
We have six gorgeous colours and there is so much you can do with them! I've named them with a nod to calligraphic tradition:
Kells Gold
Burnished Silver
Copper Scroll*
Gothic Black
Acanthus Teal
Dragon Berry
*Did you know this was the name of one of the Dead Sea Scrolls?
Now are you wondering how Dragon Berry fits into calligraphic tradition? Rumour has it there was dragon blood in ancient inks..... okay. I thought that was a bit harsh sounding and the colour is more berry coloured (it's gorgeous!) so it became Dragon Berry!
Let me show you a few things that you can do with these Gilding Powders.
Use them with rubber stamps.

Always Believe with Dragon Berry |
Use them on diecuts.

Use the Modern Gilding Powders to make backgrounds.
You can have the hammered metal look or smooth surfaced. You can spread multiple powders to created a variegated surface as I did by using Kells Gold and Burnished Silver.
