Gift of Your Friendship Tag

Hey Quietfire Fans! It's hard to believe that it's already November and Christmas is right around the corner, so today, I decided I would share with you a tag perfect to add to a bottle of wine or a gift. By combining a variety of stamps as well as dies from A Way With Words, they were the perfect for my tag. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite Christmas beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home.

To start, you'll need the Flourished Oval Frame. Die cut the frame twice out of white cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the flourished area on each frame. Sprinkle Copper Scroll Modern Gilding Powder over each frame. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Ink the edges of the frames using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Peace on Earth Die, die cut the Peace on Earth sentiment out of white cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the sentiment. Sprinkle Copper Scroll Modern Gilding Powder over the sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Once the frame has cooled, cut the frame in half. Ink the edges of the frames using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Peace on Earth, die cut the stars twice out of white cardstock. You'll need seven of the stars. Apply Emboss It Ink to each of the stars. Sprinkle Kells Gold Modern Gilding Powder over each star and tap off the excess powder. Emboss each star with a heat tool. Ink the edges of the stars using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 2 3/4" Fitted Oval out of white cardstock. Apply Festive Berries Distress Oxide Ink to the Gift of your friendship sentiment and stamp in the middle of the oval. Once the ink has dried, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Grid Background and randomly stamp on the oval as desired. Distress the edges of the oval. Ink the edges of the oval using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Using a blending tool with foam, blend Candied Apple, Festive Berries and Fired Brick Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of a #8 Manilla Tag. Spritz the inked tag with water. Dry the tag with a heat tool. Apply Emboss It Ink to the Merry Christmas Background stamp and stamp at the top portion of the tag. Reapply the ink the stamp and stamp at the bottom portion of the tag. Sprinkle Gothic Black Modern Gilding Powder over the entire surface of the tag. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Graph Background stamp and stamp randomly on the tag as desired. Reapply ink to the graph stamp as needed.  Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere one of the flourish oval frames to the bottom right side of the oval. Adhere the other flourished oval frame to the top left side of the oval.

Adhere one of the halves of the peace on earth sentiment to the top right side of the oval frame. Adhere the other half of the peace on earth sentiment to the bottom left side of the oval frame.

Foam square the oval 1/8" from the right and 1" from the bottom of the tag.

Use adhesive and thin foam squares to adhere the seven stars as desired around the sentiment oval.

Cut a piece of twine and tie it through the top of the tag. To finish the tag, splatter Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain randomly on the tag.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished tag.
