Exciting News at Quietfire Design!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It's Suzanne here today with a closer look at our big news.  If you receive our newsletter or follow us on Facebook, you will already be aware of the exciting changes.  Thanks for your enthusiasm!

For those of you who have been asking, it's time to celebrate.  YES!  We have new dies coming very soon.
I am so pleased to be a new licensed designer with Elizabeth Craft Designs. We're starting with a collection of twelve very special word and greeting dies that began as my own calligraphy - pen and ink hand-lettering (not a computer font).

It's easy to make simple cards in minutes: Cut, add to a card front made of layered rectangles and embellish a bit.

You may see the dies and packaging for A Way With Words in the Elizabeth Craft Coming Soon category.  (I will be carrying the dies on the Quietfire site in Canadian Dollars later in August)  If you want your local store to carry these, simply ask them to contact Elizabeth Craft.  They have all the wholesale information specific to this collection ready to send.

Dies will ship to stores the first week of August and sales on the Elizabeth Craft site will open next week.

We'll be sharing lots of projects here and on the Design Team personal blogs and you'll see our dies used over on the Elizabeth Craft blog too, so make sure you're signed up for their updates.

Videos and tutorials will be coming soon!

Here is the whole collection.  Stay tuned!  We'll unleash the Quietfire Design Team soon and you will be delighted with the infinite ways you can create with these dies.  And don't underestimate the power of mixing and matching!

We look forward to seeing what you can do, too!
Happy creating, Suzanne

Garden Bench Collection - Judi Kauffman Guest Designer

Meet our newest stamps, the Garden Bench Collection. This set was inspired by the Karen Burniston Garden Bench die from Elizabeth Craft Designs which brought back memories of my grandparents' garden bench overlooking Lake Erie.  The collection of sentiments evolved from a brainstorming session with designer Judi Kauffman, so it's very appropriate she had the first opportunity to play with them!

Garden Bench Collection - set of 4 stamps

Guest Designer Judi Kauffman created a versatile, elegant card featuring 5 Quietfire Design stamps, the Karen Burniston Garden Bench, All Seasons Tree and Agatha Edges dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, plus simple embellishments (a crocheted flower or pearl flower button with shank removed).

Customize the card by switching the stamped sentiment and the placement of it, the color palette, and/or embellishments, or by adding leaves to the trees.

Patterned papers = BoBunny

Of course, if you give a designer some stamps, they will use them! Judi continued on with our other new stamps!

If You Don't Believe in Miracles - set of 3 stamps

And add a little bling....

Many thanks to Judi for sharing her talents with us! Now show us what you can do with our new stamps!
Thanks for visiting today.

To Give Thanks - Katie Label Pivot Card

http://www.allfreepapercrafts.com/
You may have already seen this project over on the Elizabeth Craft Blog, but we love it, so we're sharing it, too!  It's so cheery and bright and makes you forget the snow and rain and  maybe your troubles, too....

Guest Designer Judi Kauffman made this card for a friend who is going through a rough time, to be delivered with soup and a hug.

 She sent instructions:
  1. Use the Karen Burniston, Designer "Katie Label Pivot Card" die #768  to cut bright green cardstock card base (4" x 5.5" folded size).
  2. With Ranger Adirondacks Pesto ink, Stamp Quietfire Design Gentle Thoughts "To GiveThanks" messages on bright white cardstock. Die-cut with the second-to-largest Katie Label accessory die.
  3. Cut a border in sage green with the largest Katie Label accessory die. Adhere white stamped shapes onto sage shapes, and adhere both onto the pivot (centered).
  4. Die-cut two rose leaves from darker green cardstock using Elizabeth Craft Designs Rose die #799
  5. Emboss a 4" square piece of Peridot Gemstones Shimmer Sheetz with Elizabeth Craft Designs embossing folder E105 Curvy Leaves. Lightly sand the reverse side so the leaves are de-bossed and the background is toned down by the sanding to reveal the silver core. Cut vertically into two pieces, following the curvy lines in the embossing, close to the leaves.
  6. Adhere with double-sided adhesive sheet to left and right of card for a sparkly border.
  7. Adhere rose leaves and pairs of small dimensional flowers to the pivot as shown. 8. Deliver in person or mail in a padded envelope. For standard postage, use low relief or flat flowers instead of dimensional ones.
