Blog Hop! Courage & Scrapbook Adhesives

Welcome everyone to the first day of our Blog hop with
Scrapbook Adhesives, makers of quality and creative adhesives.

Each day we will be sharing lots of creative ideas using our beautiful
Quietfire Stamps and products and the fabulous products
from Scrapbook Adhesives to put them all together. Be sure and
check back each day for a chance to win prizes but now it's time
to relax and grab a cup of coffee or tea and lets get our craft on...

Today I am sharing a card and a clipboard that i created for my
scrapbook room so that i can jot down important things to
remember each day and the card is to give to a friend :) I used the
Courage doesn't always Roar stamp set and split it by using
one on each of my pink flowery projects.  First let me share
all the details of how to make my card.

For my card i used 2 new dies available on Quietfire from
Spellbinders.  They are called Majestic Circles and a
new set of borders called A2 Scalloped Borders 2.  I also used
Classic Scalloped circles to layer and make the medallion that
i stamped the beautiful sentiment on.  I tried to keep it really
vintage looking so i inked around the edges of the card and
used a nice soft brown ink to stamp my sentiment with. To put
it all together to make it stay really well i used some of my
favorite adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives.  I used the
Permanent tape runner, Glue dots for the flowers,
3D Foam squares to pop up the medallion and the
dotted tape runner for the more intricate parts on the borders.
That way the glue only stays on the paper and borders stick
really, really well. I really love their products and use them all
the time in all my projects and even when i teach.

Here you can see all the layers and the beautiful sentiment with
all the textures in the embossed papers and the flowers on the top.

My next project is a decorated clipboard that i picked up from
Staples to clip on my daily "To Do" lists.  Yep i am one of
those folks who need to be crazy organized and it really helps.
And now i have a pretty clipboard to post them on. I used the
other stamp in the set that says "Never Give Up" to remind me
daily that sometimes life is tough and just have to muttle through
it and keep going with a smile and a happy heart!!

I wanted to keep it simple so i layered pieces of paper from a Glitz
6x6 pad and used those same borders that I used on my card to make
the layers. I glued them down with my Permanent tape runner
and then sanded a little around all the edges and inked them too.
Then i went in my stash and grabed all the flowers i could to match
and even made a few extras with the Bitty Blossoms die set
that you can get from Quietfire.  These go together really quick if you
use a glue dot at the bottom of each to adhere the petals.  And
i added some greenery and these beautiful die cuts of feathers
in matching paper to either of the sides. The Feathers die  is also
a new die set that you can get and I am finding lots of uses for it.

Here is a a closeup of the stamp and it even went perfect
with the stickers that say inspire and shine.  I really like
the ways this came out and it didn't take long at all.

your clipboard and card are so pretty. I love how you described everything for us. I was very interested in the adhesive that you used to attach the borders. I need something that sticks to paper and not me.
