Hey Quietfire Fans! I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you my "Life Doesn't Have to be Perfect" card which features a variety of Quietfire Stamps and A Way With Words Dies. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and I hope that you enjoy learning how to recreate my card at home.
1. To start, you'll need a medium sized piece of Collage Paper or Tissue Paper. Place a stencil of your choosing over top of the paper. Sprinkle Orange, Aquamarine and Spring Green Magenta Nuance powder through the stencil. Spritz with water. Dry the piece of paper with a heat tool. Once the paper has dried, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the tea ring stamp from the Tea Stamp set and stamp randomly on the pieces of paper.
2. From the A Way With Words - Flourished Frame die, die cut the scroll twice out of white cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to each scroll and sprinkle Midnight Black Embossing Powder overtop of each piece. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.
3. Die cut a 2 1/4" square out of white cardstock. Sprinkle Orange, Aquamarine and Spring Green Magenta Nuance powder over top of the square. Spritz with water. Dry the square with a heat tool. Once the square is dry, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the "Life Doesn't Have to be Perfect" sentiment and stamp onto the middle of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
4. Trim a piece of white cardstock to 3 1/4" x 5 5/8". Tear out a piece of book page and trim down to 3 1/4" x 5 5/8". Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
5. Adhere the book page to the white cardstock piece. Adhere the collage paper piece to the book page. Trim the collage paper if needed. Ink the edges of the collage paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
6. Foam square the sentiment square to the middle of the collage paper. Adhere one of the scrolls above the sentiment square and below it.
7. Cut a piece of black cardstock that measures 3 1/2" x 5 7/8".
8. Cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 3 5/8" x 12. Score at 6". Adhere the card front to the cardbase.
Here are a couple of close up's of the card.
Thanks so much for joining me today and taking a look at my project! I hope that I've inspired you to want to recreate my card at home.
