Rejoice Card

Hey Quietfire Fans! For today's project I'm getting into the Christmas Spirit and sharing with you my Rejoice Card. I combined a variety of A Way With Words Dies and Modern Gilding Powders which were all perfect for creating this card. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Rejoice Card at home.

To start, choose two pieces of Christmas patterned paper. Die cut a 4" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut a 3 3/4" Fitted Indented Rectangle out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of both pieces. Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of a piece of black cardstock. Distress the edges of the rectangle.

From the Flourished Christmas Tree die, you'll need both tree pieces. Die cut the outline Christmas tree out of a piece of green Christmas patterned paper. Die cut the outline and flourished Christmas tree out of a piece of dark green cardstock paper.

Apply Emboss It Dabber to a piece of white cardstock. Sprinkle Copper Scroll Modern Gilding Powders over the inked cardstock piece. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Die cut the Peace on Earth word out of the embossed paper.

Die cut the Rejoice word out of a piece of dark red cardstock.

Apply Emboss It Dabber to a piece of white cardstock. Sprinkle Kells Gold Modern Gilding Powders over the inked cardstock piece. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Die cut the star and baubles out of the embossed paper.

Adhere the 3 3/4" rectangle to the 4" rectangle. Adhere the 3 1/2" rectangle to the 3 3/4" rectangle.

Foam square the Peace on Earth die cut to the middle of the 3 1/2" rectangle. Adhere the flourished Christmas Tree to the plain Christmas Tree. Use adhesive and foam square to adhere the flourished Christmas Tree to the middle of the Peace on Earth die cut.

Adhere the Rejoice word to the bottom portion of the Christmas Tree.

Adhere the star and baubles to the tree as desired.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of white cardstock that measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.

Christmas 2020 Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs!

Flourishes and Foliage! Meet the 2020 Quietfire Christmas dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  They are available to store owners today and to individuals online at Elizabeth Craft Designs next week.

I'm so excited to share my brand new dies with you!  They are soooo versatile. You'll be able to mix and match and combine to your heart's content.  They can be combined with all the other Quietfire Design A Way With Words Christmas dies, too!

First is the Create a Wreath set which has holly leaves, pine branches, broad leaves and twigs as well as the berries.  Not only can you create the full wreath, you can make single type wreaths such as all holly, or all twig wreaths! How cool is that?  Included is a fun calligraphic bow you can use on all types of projects!

Next are the Christmas Accents. This set includes two smaller sized poinsettias which you can use as a feature in your projects or as an accent.  This set has two pine cones, one larger and one smaller.  Use them as a feature or an accent.  And of course, use them with the Create a Wreath dies, too!!

We have a fun new set of Flourished Christmas Minis!  These are designed to fit inside the Love Joy Peace Christmas Ornament, but can be used on their own! There is a flourished gingerbread man, a flourished candy cane and a flourished gift. Combine them with the Create a Wreath dies and/or the Christmas Accents.  (Keep in mind, the gift doesn't need to be used for Christmas!)

Now here is a fun beauty!  The Flourished Christmas Tree. You can use this in so many way depending on how much you cut!  It comes with the star and ball ornaments.

And what would an A Way With Words release be without a flourished word (or two!)?  Here is a new version of Merry Christmas, called Merry Christmas 4, which is surrounded in calligraphic flourishes and comes with a separate snowflake.

Want to see a few projects made with these dies? Scroll down!
Make sure you keep tuned to this blog and our Facebook Page where you'll see lots more in the next few weeks!
I hope you love them as much as we do!
Thanks for dropping in.  Happy creating, Suzanne
