Remember...

Hello everyone,
Yvonne here with a card using the Quietfire Design "Remember" cutting die.

By die-cutting "Remember" it from a contrasting color and not adding too much embellishments you make the sentiment the main focus on your card.

For my card I used dark grey cardstock... black was just a bit too much contrast :-)

I hope you like the card!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs from Holland,
Yvonne

Remember life's little things

Hi everyone it's Teresa here on this gorgeous Thursday in California with a post to remind you to always remember the little things in life.  Last week the angels came for my mom and when something tragic happens like that happens in your life you start remembering so many amazing times with that person during their lifetime.  It's a good thing to do and making up pretty things to cherish all those memories to remember your family and friends is really special and an even better thing to share with all of them as a gift in some way.  This would be a cute cover for a mini book too or maybe even a photo disc to give with pictures that you found tucked away like we did.

So this card is really simple using just die cut squares created with some papers and things sent to me from a fellow team member Yvonne. We both love to watercolor and little bears so i thought i would make up this card to put in some pictures i found to remember my mom.  The new "Remember die" was perfect to cut out and put at the bottom of the wood die cut she sent me.  I inked the "Remember" die a little on the top and the bottom to make it stand out and let it sit out on the card to make it more 3D.  Just something a little different.  And... The bear I colored on watercolor paper with Copic markers and colored it in subtle shades of brown and pink to match with the Maja Design papers.  It was quick and easy and i love the colors and my mom would have loved it too.

Here is a closeup of the die and the chalking.  You could even use a couple of different colors together and blend them with a sponge to make a pretty watercolor effect on it.  And just to make it more fun with the new release of dies I have 2 dies i would love to give away to 2 lucky readers. Just leave us a comment with your favorite dies you love in this new release and we will pick 2 of you to get the new Remember die or the new Memories die.  Both are great for cards and books and would be so handy to have in your stash to use.

Thanks so much for dropping by and you have until Sunday night at midnight PST Sept 11th to get in on the drawing! Winners will be announced Monday on the Blog....

Have a wonderful day...

Remember I love you

The Remember die is wonderful for scrapbooking but also for highlighting your sentiment.  On this card, all my pinks frame my sentiment "I love you" from the I Don't Tell You Often Enough stamp set by Quietfire Design.

After I stamped the "I love you" on white card stock, I die cut it out with the large frame from Spellbinders Filigree Delight die.  The Remember and hydrangeas (from Elizabeth Craft Designs) were cut from pink card stock paper. A darker pink was cut for the shadow effect on the Remember.  The hydrangea flowers were made by curling each petal with a stylus.  To add more dimension to the flowers, I colored the center a darker pink and then brushed Wink of Stella over the flowers.  I also added drops of Crystal Effects as water drops.

Remember Heritage Wedding Layout

Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring my grandparent's wedding photograph.  Both of my grandparents passed away quite some time ago and I think it is important to capture the who, what, when before all the details are forgotten.  I used the May sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine's Sketchy Challenge as inspiration for the page design.  For the circle element on the sketch, I used a paper doily.  You can buy a whole package of these at your local dollar store.

The Quietfire Design word die 'Remember' was perfect for the page title.  This die was just released last month and is manufactured by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I chose to use the Quietfire Design 'love gives us a fairy tale' stamp to embellish the page.  This stamp is one of 8 in the Valentines/Love set shown below.  I then used the Elizabeth Craft Designs die 'stitched circles' to cut out the stamped sentiment and a coordinating mat.  I added more embellishments from my stash - a few flowers and charms and a chipboard corner flourish that was covered with embossing ink and a few coats of white embossing powder.

Supplies Used:  Core'dinations cardstock, FabScraps patterned paper, chipboard and metal charms, Quietfire Design stamp, Elizabeth Craft Designs dies, Clearsnap ink and embossing powder, Prima flowers, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L adhesive and photo corners, dollar store paper doily.

Isn't this a great stamp set?  So many options for  Valentine or Anniversary cards, as well as wedding layouts.

New Dies, New Stamps!

It's Suzanne here today and it's bumper crop week here at Quietfire Design!

The BIG, exciting news is that we have new dies!!  You may have seen Connie sneaking a peak of one of the new dies on Saturday on National Scrapbooking Day, but now we're over the moon happy to be sharing them all.

We have six new dies; two singles and one set. Over the next few weeks, you'll be seeing lots of artwork from the Design Team.  In fact, next week will be wall-to-wall creations using the new dies.  They're so new that most of the Quietfire Design Team doesn't even have them yet!

Here they are!  You are able to pre-order on the Quietfire site, but dies will not be shipped until after May 25, 2016.  Elizabeth Craft Designs has a whole new exciting release of dies. Check them out on their blog this morning.

And for those who want it all....

Since we are lucky enough to have seasons as dies, it was natural to create some seasonal quotation rubber stamps.  And as there are four seasons, here are four new stamps.  I'd like to give the Quietfire Design Team a big shout out for their help!  When I asked for suggestions for quotes, they stepped right up with some beautiful suggestions!  If you wish to have a closer look at each stamp with more information, simply click on the caption (as opposed to the image).

And if you need the all the seasons quotes, you get a little price break....

The seasons quotes started me off on a nature/garden/flowers theme, as so I've added these to the stamp collection.

And from there, to here....

Here is something new and different....
These are our Life Journey words
in sizes less than 1"

And I think this just might be my favourite! This set was suggested by Diana Nguyen on the Quietfire Design Team. I can hardly wait to see what she does with it! (You can be assured *I* won't be using "How often you are right" for a card for my husband - unless he does something really spectacular!)

Please note all these items are available for Pre-Order and any orders containing these items will begin shipping on May 25, 2016.
We will not be shipping any orders from May 16 to 24, 2016

I hope you like our new items!
Happy creating! Suzanne
