Welcome to Quietfire Design's 9 Days of Christmas - Day 7!
If you've been following along, you'll know we have a wonderful way to share these new stamps with you during this event.
If you are a subscriber to Scrapbooking.com you will have seen Judi Kauffman's Holiday Headstart article published Sept 1, 2013. In that article each designer created three cards of increasing complexity. We will be continuing that theme for all 9 days!
Each designer has created
- One "quick and easy" card - in a style you can make multiples of, but nice enough to send out to your friends. Basically; cardstock, stamp, patterned paper.
- One "a little more" card - the same card as the "quick and easy", but adding some embellishment or more complex. This one would take a bit more time or cost a bit more to make.
- One "over the top" card - Enough said! This would be an heirloom card, something you'd keep, frame, display every year - perhaps something with a removable ornament. For hand delivery or shipped in a box.
The new stamps may be found
in the New Stamps department

Teresa is one of our artist's featured in the Scrapbook.com
article, so to see all three of her cards, you will have to pop over there, but she is sharing one of her cards here. Here is the link to

This is my over the top card and I love it because of all the
textures and designs behind the beautiful stamp on the top.
I used burgundy, pink and green for my card base and finished
it with a matching ribbon and poinsettia on top.
For my card I used the new Spellbinders Captivating Squares S4-414
die for the base and embossed it with a second layer and then added
a layer of green that I stamped with burgundy and hand cut it out. For
my sentiment I used Rounded Squares S4-408 and the stamp
fit perfectly. All I needed to do was add some burgundy ink to stencil
around the inside edges. To finish it I tied a burgundy bow
in the die and cut/embossed pink and green cardstock with
the Spellbinders Poinsettia die and added some glittery stickles.
This would be great to make for a wallhanging to or maybe
create it on canvas with an easel to give as a gift.
Be sure and hop over to the Scrapbooking.com article

Amazing card, it's stunning!
I have some leftover burgundy ribbon from a charity event. Now I know what I'm going to do with it. Thank-you.
What a gorgeous card to receive on Christmas Day!
The card itself is a great gift - love the dimension!
Sometimes "over the top" means "too much." Not with any of these cards! How beautifully each one progresses to the next, and I would be honored to receive any one of them from a friend. Spectacular!

This is my fav so far. Very motivating for Christmas projects. Fantastic design.
Pure loveliness! Is there anyone alive who doesn't have a big soft spot for pink? I don't think so either.
