Always Be My Friend set

Happy Friday!  Kathy Jo here sharing some cards using the new stamp set from Quietfire- Always Be My Friend.  I agree with the other lovely ladies this week: it was too difficult to choose only one stamp from this set to share!  I ended up making three cards using this gorgeous set!
The first card is a bright and cheery card using the "You are my Sunshine" stamp.  Oh...I love this stamp and this card!  I used to sing the song as a kid and when I saw this stamp it made my heart smile.  Right away I grabbed the yellow patterned paper from Graphic 45's Secret Garden pad.  The dies used were all Spellbinders (from the bottom up): Valiant Honor, Tranquil Moments and Belly Band One.
I applied Tim Holtz' ink in Scattered Straw as shown.  I fussy cut some of the flowers from the same paper and adhered around the sentiment.  Stickles was applied at will.

Next up was the "I love that you will Always be my friend" stamp.  Such a sweet sentiment!  It was stamped on chalkboard paper and die cut to size.  A frame was die cut using Spellbinders Captivating Squares and Classic Squares.  (If you do not have Captivating Squares, Fleur de Lis Squares would also work well.  Drop me a line on my blog if you want me to make another card using that die.)
Distress white crackle was applied to the frame to give it an antique look.  The framed sentiment was mounted to distressed edge paper  from Secret Garden.  A double bow and silver button was added.  The finishing touch was sparkly gems applied to the sentiment and the frame.

Last- but hopefully not least!- is a gatefold card using the "Those who find a faithful friend" stamp.  This jaw droppingly gorgeous stamp was stamped in gold on ivory paper.  A circular die stack was mounted in the middle of the card.  The stack from the bottom up is Spellbinders Majestic Circles, Standard Circles, Stately Circles and then Standard Circles.
Gold was applied to the outside edges of the standard circles die cuts and also on the front rectangular cut panels using a gold marker.  A simple double bow and gold button was the last addition.

Thanks for making it to the end of this post!  I hope you enjoyed the projects using the new stamp set.  It is such a beautiful set!
