How Beautiful Leaves Grow Old - Color Burst Leaves

Hi there, Yogi here today with a fabulous decorated paper made with Ken Oliver Color Burst powders for my leaves.

Side folded my white card (5"w x 7"h). Cut a piece of orangey/yellow cardstock 1/16" smaller all around and adhere to card front.

Die cut the Spellbinders "Decorative Labels Eight" from white cardstock (the two largest rectangles). Sponged Distress "Tea Dye" around on the smaller die cut. Sponge Tea Dye on the larger die cut and then some "Walnut Stain". Adhere the large rectangle to card front.

Stamped the quote ("How Beautiful Leaves..." 3 pce set) using Versafine Black Onyx on the smaller frame and clear emboss, then adhere to card front.

Die cut the leaves (Impression Obsession "Die 030S) from the decorated color burst paper (see below)

Adhered them here and there.

Color Burst Decorated paper:
Mist 90# Canson cold press watercolor paper (wrong side - it's smoother...) with water.

Sprinkle or burst some powder "Yellow Ochre" all over, then here and there with "Burnt Orange", "Merlot", "Terre Verte" & "Sepia". Mist with water some more avoiding some areas to get a more speckled look. Use the corner of a paper towel to soak up excess water so there are no puddles. Allow to partially dry. You want the paper to be nice and damp but not sopping wet. Then sprinkled with salt - I used regular table salt this time.  Set your paper aside to dry completely naturally.

it will work just as nicely with the first set - (avoid using the blue...but a very small touch of the purple would be OK) have a great day

This card completely takes my breath away. How truly beautiful, and the paper you made is fabulous and perfect for the leaves. I have added the sentiment stamp as well as the Color Burst to my wish list. Thank you for sharing this beautiful card, and how you made it.
