Autumn is the Hush before Winter Tag

Hey Quietfire Fans! I'm excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you my Autumn is the Hush before Winter Tag which features a variety of Quietfire Stamps. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite Fall beverage and learn how to recreate my tag at home.

To start, take one #8 Manilla Tag out of the package. Apply Emboss It Ink to the Leafy Acanthus stamp and stamp along the edge of the tag. Continue to apply Emboss It Ink to the stamp until the edges of all of the tags are stamped. Sprinkle Champagne Embossing Powder overtop of the stamped image. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Using a blending tool with foam, blend Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the tag.  Spritz the tag with water. Dry the tag using a heat tool. Use a baby wipe to take the ink off of the embossed image. Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 2 1/2" Stitched Oval out of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the oval. Spritz the oval with water. Dry with a heat tool. Distress the edges of the oval. Ink the edges of the oval using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Emboss It Ink to the Autumn is the Hush before Winter sentiment and stamp onto the middle of the oval. Sprinkle Midnight Black Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Foam square the oval to the middle of the tag.

Apply Fossilized Amber Distress Ink to the wheat stamp and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Reapply Fossilized Amber Distress Ink to the wheat stamp and stamp onto the same piece of white cardstock. Fussy cut both wheat out. Ink the edges of the wheat using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink to the large maple leaf stamp and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Repeat the previous step for the large maple leaf. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink over the large maple leaf. Apply Forest Moss Distress Ink to the leaf stamp and stamp onto the same piece of white cardstock. Repeat the previous step for the leaf. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the leaf. Apply Fired Brick Distress Ink to the small maple leaf stamp and stamp onto the same piece of white cardstock. Repeat the previous step for the small maple leaf. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Fired Brick Distress Ink over the small maple leaf.  Fussy cut all the leaves out. Ink the edges of all the leaves using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

In the top left side of the sentiment, adhere the wheat. Foam square a large maple leaf and leaf over top of the leaf. Foam square the small maple leaf to the left of the french proverb.

Adhere the large maple leaf to the bottom right side of the oval. Adhere the other wheat slightly over top of the large maple leaf. Foam square the small maple leaf and leaf overtop of the wheat and large maple leaf.

To finish off the tag, tie some brown seam binding ribbon to the top of the tag.

Here are a few close up's of my Autumn is the Hush before Winter Tag.
