Destiny Tag

Hey Quietfire Fans! The weather here on the west coast has been dreary and that has me longing for the warmer weather. With thoughts of warmer weather on my mind, I created this bright Destiny tag which features a variety of Quietfire Design Stamps and A Way with Words dies. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as you learn how to recreate my tag at home.

To start, cut a #8 Manilla Tag down to 5 3/4". Ink the edges of the tags using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Tear a piece of Collage Paper that measures 4 1/2". Sprinkle Aquamarine, Raspberry and Wisteria Magenta Nuance powder overtop of the collage paper. Spritz the powder with water. Dry the collage paper with a heat tool. Trace the tag around the collage paper. Cut the tag out. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Grid Background stamp and stamp randomly onto the collage paper. Reapply ink as needed to the stamp. Ink the edges of the collage paper tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose a piece of patterned paper. Trace the tag around the patterned paper. Cut the patterned paper tag out. Ink the
edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut two Flourished Ovals out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the flourishes off of the die.

Place the 2 3/4" Dashing Square onto a piece of black cardstock. Place the 2 1/4" Dashing Square inside of the 2 3/4" Dashing Square. Run the dies through your die cutting machine. You'll need the 2 3/4" frame.

From the same piece of patterned paper that the tag was cut out of, die cut the 2 3/4" Dashing Square out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the patterned paper square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the 2 1/4" Dashing Square out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Destiny stamp and stamp onto the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the patterned paper tag to the manilla tag. Adhere the collage paper to the patterned paper tag. Punch a hole at the top of the tag.

Adhere the black cardstock frame on an angle in the middle of the tag. Adhere one of the flourishes in the top left corner of the frame. Adhere the other flourish in the bottom right hand corner of the frame. Foam square the Destiny saying to the 2 3/4" patterned paper square. Foam square the 2 3/4" patterned paper square to the middle of the black cardstock frame.

Tear a small piece of collage paper. Sprinkle Chartreuse Magenta Nuance powder over the paper. Spritz the powder with water. Dry the paper with a heat tool. Die cut the Stars spray out of the paper. Adhere three stars in the top left, bottom left and bottom right of the saying. Adhere one star in the top right corner of the saying. To finish off the tag, add a piece of twine to the top of the tag.

Here are a few close up's of my Destiny Tag.
