Mothers Hold Their Children's Hands...

Robyn here, and I butted in the Design Team line I was so excited to share with y'all.

The new stamps have jump started my creativity and a GirlsNightOut  with all the amazing ladies at my LocalStampShop nudged me into this quilling technique.

The stamp is inked with VersaFine Sepia and thermal embossed clear, and colorized with Distress Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen.

The frame is created with stash, a vintage doily and scraps of handmade paper, all held in place with a frame constructed from Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangle.
Can you see where I pieced it?

Forgive the lack of step by step tutorial, this card came together by magic!
I ramble on a bit more about my Mom here, if you want to hop over with your tissues!

Please be sure to post your own creations with your new Quietfire Design stamps.

Comments and questions always welcomed!

Absolutely fabulous, I love the card but the words bring back so many memories for me. I did my Mum a cross stitch with the words 'A mother holds her children's hand for a while but their hearts forever' - unfortunately she has been gone now for five years but I have the framed item and look at it every day. Thank you so much for bringing this stamp out. xx

Beautiful in every respect. The sentiment is touching and I love the frame you've created to show it off.

Since I don't have a mother, I totally ignored the saying at first. But I love
the layering effect around the saying.

well done Robyn. Love all your components. and no I can't tell where you spliced it... BIG GRIN Love the curls. Did one for Vamp Stamp News in 2010 with cardstock and shimmer sheetz in a diamond shape. It always amazes me that we know so many techniques, we use them a few times when we first learn them and then they go in a back drawer. Thanks for bringing to the foreground again. Have a great day

Beautiful card Robyn and the frame you created around the stamps is very elegant. Looking forward to a step by step someday!
