The 9 Days of Christmas - Day 4 - Robyn

Welcome to Quietfire Design's 9 Days of Christmas - Day 4!
If you've been following along, you'll know we have a wonderful way to share these new stamps with you during this event.
If you are a subscriber to Scrapbooking.com you will have seen Judi Kauffman's Holiday Headstart article published Sept 1, 2013. In that article each designer created three cards of increasing complexity. We will be continuing that theme for all 9 days!

Each designer has created
  1. One "quick and easy" card - in a style you can make multiples of, but nice enough to send out to your friends.  Basically; cardstock, stamp, patterned paper.
  2. One "a little more" card - the same card as the "quick and easy", but adding some embellishment or more complex.  This one would take a bit more time or cost a bit more to make.
  3. One "over the top" card  - Enough said!  This would be an heirloom card, something you'd keep, frame, display every year - perhaps something with a removable ornament. For hand delivery or shipped in a box.

The new stamps may be found
in the New Stamps department
by clicking
here.

Here are Robyn's creations!  Don't forget to leave a comment at the bottom of this post to be eligible for a prize.

The first card took 15 minutes ( I timed it!)
Design time not included!
Use the frame as a stencil and colorize with Delicata Golden Glitz and Distress Festive Berries and Evergreen Bough.
Draw around the emboss line while the paper is still in the die with a fine line gold pen.
That's it!

The second card took 1/2 hour.
Draw the gold border around natural card stock- I used Neenah Classic Crest- with a gold leaf pen. This can be messy as your decorative paper panel will cover it.
Wrap a gold ribbon around the decorative paper and glue to the card base.
Cut , emboss and stencil the same SB poinsettia die and glue to your base.
The Christmas Quote is stamped with Versa Fine Crimson and thermal embossed clear on Spellbinders Splendid Circles .

This one took a little longer!

The frame, the focal image panel and the holly elements are cut with the Cameo digital cutter of the Neenah Classic Natural 80lb.
Digital cutting eliminates fussy cutting on the flourished holly and the holly cuts outs on the focal panel.
The SB poinsettia  panel is cut and embossed from craft foil and colored with alcohol ink markers.
I used the die to cut out multiple layers of gauze ribbon and colored that with markers to create the flower.
The  flower center is made out of polymer clay and Stickles glitter glue.
The focal image  holly frame was stamped in VersaMark and thermal embossed with Queens Gold.
The quote is stamped and embossed as above.

I hope you enjoyed the progression! this was  a fun challenge and if you give it a try post your creations!

Here are all three side by side. They are all the same size.

Wonderful cards Robyn -- the third one is gorgeous! I had to look twice to see that you had used the same Spellbinders die as on the previous two.

Wow! I love the first card, it's simplicity is lovely and I love the crimson ink....gorgeous colour!...wishlist....! The second card is very elegant and the third is simply stunning! Design time usually takes many more hours than the actual making of a card, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing your making times as well as your gorgeus design! That really helps!

I think the simple card looks far from easy. That's more my style. I can't even conceive of the fussy one. So beautiful and way out of my comfort zone. Stunning!
