Autumn is a Second Spring

It's Selma here today with a reminder that Autumn is not far away. I had fun creating a pretty card using Suzanne's new 4 Seasons Autumn die cut and Autumn is a Second Spring rubber stamp.  I love the coordinating die cut along with the stamped sentiment.

4 Seasons, Set of 4 - Metal Cutting Dies

This is a 6x6 inch card.  A piece of striped design paper was attached to front of card base.  The A Way With Words Autumn was die cut using a piece of rust card stock that has a piece of clear double sided adhesive attached to one side. It is die cut then Rust Silk Microfine Glitter added.

For the frame,  two Elizabeth Craft Designs Dotted Scallop Ovals were die cut using Soft Finish Buttercream card stock.  The largest one had Clear Double sided adhesive on it, so Rust Silk Microfine Glitter could be added. The Autumn is a Second Spring was stamped and embossed using bronze embossing power, on the smaller Dotted Scallop Oval.

Susan's Garden Notes Chrysanthemum die set was used to create the flowers.  Susan's Garden Patch Woodland Leaves dies were used for the fall leaves.  These dies are available from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Be sure to check out all the coordinating dies and stamp sets.  They do make your projects special!

The New All Seasons stamps...

Hi and thank you so much for stopping over to the Quietfire Design blog today.  I am sharing 2 stamps from the new collection with my projects, one with a card and the other with the new jewelry stamps.

I haven't done a fancy card in a while and so i got out some of my favorite dies and had fun.  This card is made with the new Autumn is a second spring stamp from the brand new "All Seasons Set".  There is a spring, summer, fall and winter one and i had lots of pretty papers from Bo Bunny and flowers in my stash that would match up perfect for a fall theme.  I stamped the card in black over the dotted paper and then cut it out.  This way i could be sure that it all lined up perfectly.  It's just a simple layered card and would be easy to do as a gift set for someone for Christmas or a birthday with each of the new stamps.  How pretty would that be....

And for these little bookmarks there is a new set of stamps that are "Jewelry Words" and will fit inside of jewelry findings.  These are some little metal bookmark pieces that i got from Prima and they fit perfectly.  All i did was stamp some pretty papers and emboss them and then glue them under the resin tops.

And here is the set of the new "All Season stamps".   The sentiments are really beautiful and masterfully done by Suzanne Cannon.  I hope that you try a few yourself and maybe post what you did on our facebook page so we can see what magic you create with them.

Have a really wonderful day!!

Autumn is a Second Spring

I know it's still summer but these are new releases from Quietfire Design and I had to play with them - especially after I got some beautiful goodies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I made a fall wreath using Spellbinders Woodland Wreath die and ECD's Garden Notes Chrysanthemum.  The wreath was cut out of metallic gold card stock and the mums were made from scraps of yellow, orange, and dark red card stock.  I also added leaves from ECD's Curvy Leaves dies

To soften the background paper from ECD's Through the Lens - Wood, I cut a piece of vellum the same size and stamped a portion of the sentiment from the stamp Autumn is a Second Spring with jet black Staz-On ink.  The Autumn die was cut twice and then adhered onto the vellum right above the stamped sentiment to take the place of the Autumn is the stamp.

Can you guess where that rich, dark brown paper is from?  It's the lining from the Ferrero Rocher chocolate container - the big one - and I won't even tell you how many of those I have.  :)  I don't have much of a sweet tooth except for chocolate - unfortunately, that really doesn't narrow it down much.

This was actually made to fit a shadow box for a 5x7 - it's just easier to take the picture outside of the frame.  With the chyrsanthemum so dimensional, I decided a frame would do more justice than a padded envelope.
