I need coffee ....

Today i have another new coffee card from the cutest set of new cling stamps.  I found a few pieces of a beautiful water color looking paper in my stash and it already looked like it had spills on it. So cute!   So i added the tea stain ring from the tea stamp set on the bottom in a light taupe and then stamped my image on the top in black.  I really love this quote and i think it speaks for alot of us in the mornings....

Here is a quick closeup, the sentiment is perfect on this papers don't you think?  And like my card last time that was made with the same 49th and Market papers it really works well with the stamps and not much other fussiness.  Summertime is a great time to get out your stamps and create a bunch of cards to have ready for everyone just in case.... and this set is a must have!

Thank you again for stopping over for a little coffee time inspiration! And i guess i need to say that
this is actually my last post for Quietfire Design for awhile.  It was a very hard decision to do but i have been researching my family tree since my parents passed away and it's time for me to do some traveling and make up a few books for the family to keep about them.

Thank you to all of you for the many sweet and kind comments you have left through the years.  Yes i can't believe it's been years on this amazing team but always check back because you never know
what beautiful and amazing products that the talented Suzanne Cannon has up her sleeve or what amazing inspiration you will get from the Design Team!

Enjoy your day.. I will miss you all.... Teresa

Leave the Gate Open card

Hi it's Teresa here to share another card i did using a really cute new stamp called " Live like someone left the gate open".  I hope you like my idea to add the gate in the front of the garden on this already gorgeous paper.  I thought it would be fun to add a new part to the scene on the paper and then add the sentiment on the top.  And to give it a little bit more of a 3D effect i added some stickles and a little bit of glitter on all of the flowers.  It's really pretty in person and i hope you like it.

It's great to keep these kinds of cards simple and easy to mail.  There is so much beauty in the stamp and the paper you don't really need much else....

This would be a beautiful stamp to create your own garden of handmade flowers and maybe do a little masking with the fence posts to make the fence longer.  I can see so many fun ways to use this stamp.  And the sentiment is one that you can use for so many different things.  That is what i love about Suzanne's stamps.  They are always so fun and uplifting.

Have a very wonderful day and happy crafting to all of you,

Teresa

Coffee and Friends

I am so excited to share that we have brand new stamps with both coffee themes and tea themes.  The sets are so cute and there are so many to pick from i really had a hard time choosing for my card today.  But i decided on the "Coffee and Friends" sentiment from the "But first Coffee set" and i even made a gift bag to give a special ground of coffee in as a gift with my card.  The papers i chose are a new design from BoBunny and it gives it a very sweet and feminine look to the card.

To stamp my sentiment i used a cocoa archival ink to match the wreath tag and then used a kraft colored card to layer all my design to and finish it.  I really, really love this color combo....
and here is the stamp set so you can see all the other amazing choices!

And here is a closeup of my custom coffee bag that i stamped.  I used to work in a store that ground the most delicious specialty coffees and you can ask for these bags from them or get them at your local craft store too. ( I found mine at Hobby Lobby here in the states).

Be sure and check out all the other new stamps on the website!!

Anyone can change everything....

Hi and happy Monday to all of you!  I have a really pretty card that i created to share with all of you from our newest release of the Quietfire Rubber stamps.   This one i really love because it gives such a positive message and would be perfect to send someone who needs a little lifting up or even a family member who just needs some positive inspiration in their life.

I used soft pale pink for my backround of my card and cut the swirled die from Becca Feeken in white to add a beautiful feminine feel to the card.  I stamped the image in black for contrast and added subtle pink and white flowers with a green ribbon for accents.  Then i finished it off with some tiny adhesive pearls and a smaller die cut at the top to add more interest to it.

You can see all the new stamps HERE<<<<<

Enjoy your day and have fun doing something creative today!!

The Heart has its Reasons

It's Teresa here today!  It's almost Valentines day so I'm sharing a quick card using one of my favorite stamps called "The heart has its reasons".  Everything comes from inspiration so today mine started with this gorgeous stamp and a new stamp pad i got that has variegated colors of pink in the pad.

So I stamped sentiment on white paper to see how it would come out and then i picked these bright and cheery papers from Doodlebug to coordinate with it.  The simple dots don't take away from the stamp and really gives you that pretty pink feel of Valentines and is easy enough to make a bunch to send out or give for the holiday.

Here is a closeup so you can see how pretty the ink colors are and i love the heart in the middle.

You can find this stamp in the store right HERE......

Enjoy your day and have fun creating Valentines for all the special people in your life!!

Because I am thankful

Today is my first post for the this brand new year and i decided to start in with a Valentine card.  Quietfire Design carries beautiful dies in their online shop that you can pair with their stamps so for my card i use the "Because" die for the outside and stamped " I am thankful for all you do" on the inside.  I used new Valentine papers from Bo Bunny and cut out the sentiment in the same shade of deep rose to match.  I especially love the flowers on both edges and how it really makes the die cut pop across the center.

The stamp on the inside i used from the set called "I don't tell you often enough".

It's a great set that has lots of other beautiful sentiments you can use for so many other cards to send throughout the year.  It even has i love you for Valentines day! It's a definite must have...

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!  Teresa

Believe in You card

I hope that you all had an amazing Christmas Holiday yesterday!!  I love this time of year and hopes of starting a new year with even more special things planned always keeps me in good spirits and i can't wait to start 2018. Can you believe it's almost a New Year?

So-- with all of that in mind--- i thought i would create a card that i could send to a special friend for always being there for me.  I think everyone has them and receiving a special card would be really nice even for me.  I created my card using one of the new Cling Rubber stamps called  "The best thing- Believe in you" and i wanted to keep it simple so i used a pretty hemstitch oval die by Becca Feeken to stamp my sentiment in black and that way it would stand out great with the Kaisercraft papers that i used.

And behind the oval die is another of Becca Feeken's dies called "Braided Grace Square".  I made two of them one in each of the papers and alternated the pattern to create a pretty back round under my gorgeous sentiment.  And i just finished it with a pretty ivory bow and a sparkling star.  It's simple yet really elegant... just how i like it.  And i hope you do too!

Thank you so much for stopping over and best wishes for a wonderful new year!!    Teresa

Christmas Eve was a night of song

Hi and welcome to our blog today... i know it seems a little early to start inspiring you with Christmas ideas but it's always good to start early on the fun things to get you in the spirit and be ready!!

My card that i am sharing is with a brand new stamp called "Christmas eve was a night of song".  I tried to make it really simple since you might have to do alot of them so I only used the one die "Hemstitch Rectangles" to stamp the sentiment on and then just layered it with the papers.  This would be a wonderful man card too and the sweet sentiment really takes you back.

And here is a closeup of the sentiment.  It's so beautiful and Suzanne did an incredible job with the calligraphy on it.  I really love all the pretty swirls on each of the letters.

And that's it for me today... just in case here is a supply list for you:

Paper: Kaisercraft Christmas Edition
Dies: Becca Feeken Hemstitch Rectangles
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black

Love for my best friend

This month is friendship month on the Quietfire Design blog so i created this card to give to my DH who is my very best friend in life.  The stamp i used is called "What greater thing" and is from our new release of cling rubber stamps.

I had to be a little more masculine but still couldn't resist putting on the pearls.  His favorite color is blue so i did it in light grey and blue with a pretty die cut in brown on the front.  The beautiful stamp i did with a dark navy ink and embossed it with clear powder.  This is such a beautiful stamp and really could be made to give to so many people in your life.

Below is a photo of the stamp set... you also get that beautiful heart flourish with it.

And thank you for stopping by and be sure and check back soon.

Sending a little hope for you

Hi everyone and welcome to the Quietfire Design blog today.  There are so many gorgeous stamps being released this month it was really hard to chose one to do my post but i found the perfect one and decided to make a card for a friend that lost someone special in her life a couple of weeks ago.

The stamp i used is called "Hope is the thing with Feathers".  It's a beautiful quote by Emily Dickinson and is perfect to send to a special person that needs exactly that... a little hope. To make it stand out i used Archival ink in deep rich red and embossed it to match the papers that i picked out.  The papers are from my stash but anything you have similar would work i am sure.

Sometimes when I have lots of pretty things spread out on my table.. I get really inspired and just keep going..... so I have another card to share to give for Valentines.

For this card i used some of the same pretty Valentines papers I used on my first card and created a card using the stamp called "The Greatest strength is gentleness".  I also stamped this in red ink and the artist name wasn't in the right place so i cut it and stamped it at the bottom so it would fit better.

Then i added a pretty bow, leaves and a rose to finish it up.  Valentines is such a fun time to create things for your friends, the colors are so pretty and joyful and I am sure you will get lots of smiles and happy notes back thanking you for your thoughtfulness.  Have fun and be sure and check out all the other love inspired stamps and heart inspired stamps in the Quietfire store!

Thank you for stopping by and see you all again soon!!

The New All Seasons stamps...

Hi and thank you so much for stopping over to the Quietfire Design blog today.  I am sharing 2 stamps from the new collection with my projects, one with a card and the other with the new jewelry stamps.

I haven't done a fancy card in a while and so i got out some of my favorite dies and had fun.  This card is made with the new Autumn is a second spring stamp from the brand new "All Seasons Set".  There is a spring, summer, fall and winter one and i had lots of pretty papers from Bo Bunny and flowers in my stash that would match up perfect for a fall theme.  I stamped the card in black over the dotted paper and then cut it out.  This way i could be sure that it all lined up perfectly.  It's just a simple layered card and would be easy to do as a gift set for someone for Christmas or a birthday with each of the new stamps.  How pretty would that be....

And for these little bookmarks there is a new set of stamps that are "Jewelry Words" and will fit inside of jewelry findings.  These are some little metal bookmark pieces that i got from Prima and they fit perfectly.  All i did was stamp some pretty papers and emboss them and then glue them under the resin tops.

And here is the set of the new "All Season stamps".   The sentiments are really beautiful and masterfully done by Suzanne Cannon.  I hope that you try a few yourself and maybe post what you did on our facebook page so we can see what magic you create with them.

Have a really wonderful day!!

The new Crackle Backround stamp

Hi everyone and welcome to our blog today on this beautiful Thursday.  We are all sharing lots of ideas using the new release of stamps that you can find on the Queitfire blog here.   There are so many beautiful ones i had a hard time choosing but the new crackle stamp really caught my eye so i grabbed a handful of inks and set out to create something fun with it and 2 new other stamps.

Watercoloring is all the rage again so i thought i would try and use different colors and stamps to show the versatility of this new Crackle backround stamp and create a watercolor effect.  I used Tsukineko inks in green, yellow,  and orange to give it a bright and warm summer effect. And i made sure that I didn't press hard in the yellow area so that it would out more muted and was a better color to stamp the In Summer stamp in black.  I just used simple kraft cardstock and matted it and then adhered it to a white card with a little twine i had in my stash.  I really love this new crackle stamp and i hope you will get a chance to try one too.

For this one i used a whole different palette of colors and then matted it in some of the same bright solids to make it pop.  I wanted it to be a little glittery so i sprayed on some pixie dust in a spritzer bottle.  The stamp is from one of the brand new sets called "I don't tell you often enough" and it too has lots of other words to use that would be perfect on their own or with one of the new dies.

Here is a closeup of the crackle card and the stamp is below.  Imagine how much fun you can have with embossing powders or even use a little paint and stamp it on wood.  Guess that's another project i will have to do and share.. Oh and if you love the stamp---You can find it to order here.

Thanks so much for stopping over and have fun creating something beautiful today!!  Teresa

Always be my Friend card...

Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by today on the Quietfire blog to see what is new.  Today i am sharing a card with a set that i have used before because i needed a sweet card to send to a friend that i haven't see for awhile.

I went over to Micheals last week and they had lots of these lazer cutouts in a big display so i bought some for later and one of them ended up being the perfect size for this sentiment. The stamp set is called "Always be my friend" and has 3 wonderful sentiments on it to use.

For the papers i used a new line called Chickaniddy.  I think the colors were great in that it gave it a real country feel to go with the wood lazer cut.  And i just kept it simple stamping on a circle of the paper and embossing it with clear.  And then i layered the papers under it and popped up one layer to give it more dimension to go with the thicker piece of wood.

I just inked the lazer cut with some brown ink but you could paint it, spray it or emboss it with anything to make it fun and unique for your card.

And then to finish my card i just added some little country looking flowers and a twine bow at the bottom with a quick dry adhesive. Simple and perfect for my friend.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you found a little
inspiration to make up something fun today!

Valentines Day Card

It's time to get started on Valentines day cards so today i have a really pretty one to share that i made with the New Graphic 45 Mon Amour 6x6 pad and the "Future is uncertain" stamp.

My favorite part of this stamp is how the Love sentiment in the center is done with double lines.  It's so gorgeous!!  I made the flowers in the center over the tulle and the ribbon and then added some ivory flowers to match that were in my stash... hope you like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a good weekend!!
