When This (Christmas) Day - Hoppy Easter - Egg Trio - easel basket

Yogi here today and it's almost Easter time ... So I thought I'd get one of those cards in for my final post this month.

I'm using another of those stamps that was meant for Christmas... but with a little masking it's now good for any time of the year. How many stamps or dies do you have in your stash that you only use for what they were originally meant for?? Why not look at them again and see what you can do with them - you'd be surprised... This one is especially meaningful to me because I have so many happy memories of Easter egg hunting. BIG GRIN

I'm using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design ("When This Christmas Becomes a Memory...");

Also using a couple electronic cut files from Suzanne available on Silhouette. Click image to purchase.

https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/125756https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/253768

I started with cardstock 8.5 x 11". Scored and fold the cream cardstock at 7" point. Score the remaining 5" at 3.5" from the first score line. You'll have a 1.5" piece to adhere your basket to.

See template image to cut the basket. Emboss the lower section using a basket weave embossing folder (I used Darrice). Sponged all over and hit the high points with Distress pads in various browns. Adhered to front flap leaving about 1/4" on the top edge to slip my eggs and grass into. Cut a strip the width of my card and 1/2" h. inked with a darker brown and adhered to basket. (that's that solid wooden piece that usually keeps the basket sturdy...)

Wrapped some pink narrow ribbon around the handle. Tied a multi loop fork bow and adhered that with hot glue.

Electronically cut my eggs and grass, colored with Distress pads in fun color combinations and used both the negative and positive of each egg. Adhered under lip of basket.

Electronically cut the "Hoppy Easter" from the cream cardstock and swiped Oxide pads across in Easter color streaks... Adhered to front.

On the floor: Stamped the quote, minus the word "Christmas" using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Raided my stash of alphabet die cuts (Elizabeth Craft Designs "Upper Case Alphabet") and spelt the word "Day". Die cut with Nellie's Multi Frame dies setMFD007, first cutting around the bottom flourish and placing it above the die so it wouldn't be cut off. Sponged around edges with some yellow and orange dirty sponges. Adhered to floor.

Electronically cut the rabbits, coloring with some browns and using a clear embossing pen for the tails and embossing with white embossing powder. Folded 2 of them and adhered to the floor to act as my stopper. Adhered the last one where it fit...

Winter Die - Snowmen Fall From Heaven - Easel

Yogi here today with a Christmas easel card... I know summer just began, how can we think of Christmas and winter already...

I created an easel card and built a snowman as the stopper. Also finally using up a scrap piece of Oriental scrapbook paper I've had laying around for eons... Love the fedora hat on the snowman. so here's what I used and did.

I'm using one of the NEWEST "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs ("4 Seasons" 4pce die set), designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE).

I'm also using a quote stamp ("Snowmen Fall From Heaven...") from Quietfire Design  and a couple eCut files ("Fedora"); ("Joy") available on the Silhouette onLine store.
Scored and folded my mid toned blue card cardstock to create the easel. (6.5"w x 8"h easel closed). Adhered a 2nd piece of blue cardstock to the front, then adhered the Oriental "Winter Waves" scrapbook paper. (the waves reminded me of mountains...).

Die cut the word "Winter" (
4 Seasons ) from white cardstock, inked with Distress "Broken China" and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Turquoise Shimmer" embossing powder. Adhered to front.

eCut the word
"Joy" from white cardstock, inked with "Fired Brick" and clear embossed twice. Adhered to front.

On the floor: Stamped the quote ("Snowmen Fall From Heaven...") using Distress "Picket Fence" and embossed with Emerald Creek "Glacier White" embossing powder.

Electronically cut a bunch of various sized circles for the snowman (you could die cut or punch them out...). Inked them with Versamark and embossed with Emerald Creek "Soft Fallen Snow". Adhered the circles together (3", 2.5" & 1.5")

eCut the
"Fedora" and sponged with various browns, adding red to the band and embossing with Emerald Creek "Enhanced Red Pearl" embossing powder. Adhered to head of snowman and added a small feather.

Added a couple mini black rhinestones for eyes, and cut a small triangle colored with orange for the nose.

Tied a plaid ribbon around his neck and adhered with a glue gun. Adhered the masculine buttons.

Die cut the "Tree Branch" (Sizzix -Tim's), inked with browns and embossed with Distress "Walnut Stain" embossing powder. Pinched off a couple branches for the arms. Adhered the snowman to the floor to act as the stopper.

As a final touch added some white snowflake buttons on the floor.

Cottage Days - ECD Summer - Thoughts of You

Yogi here today with a summer memories card...

I'm using an electronic file Cottage Days  from Quietfire Design on the front which you can find in the Silhouette onLine store.

And I'm using one of the newest die sets from Elizabeth Craft Designs which will be available soon. "4 Seasons" - loving this set. Also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And of course a card wouldn't be complete without at least some Quietfire Design stamps "Remember That The Earth..." 8pce set; "Life Journey Words" 6pce set; and part of "When I Saw This..."

Scored and side folded my cream toned cardstock (5"w x 7"h).

Stamped the fishnet background using Versafine Black Onyx on Bee Paper "Recycled Sketch Paper" (it's brownish kraft type color) and clear embossed. Swiped over it with Distress acrylic daubers "Tumbled Glass" and "Broken China"

Die cut the frame from white cardstock using the 2 largest of the long stitched line dies (Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles"). Sponged with "Tumbled Glass" and "Broken China", then hit the edges with some "Tea Dye" and "Ground Espresso. Adhered the fishnet background to the frame.

To get the sandy looking border - Applied Sookwang tape around the edges of the card, adhered my fishnet piece, then embossed the border, sprinkling with Distress embossing powders ("Pumice Stone", "Scattered Straw" and "Brushed Corduroy"). Burnished with my finger.

Created some background papers using watercolor paper and Brushos in a multitude of colors... Went a little wild... Then eCut the stamp shapes (if you don't have an electronic cutter, you can fussy cut around your stamped images. I'm lazy though...), stamped with the black and clear embossed the largest starfish and the seahorse. For the smaller starfish, stamped with  Distress pads and embossed with Queen's Gold or clear. Also cut the "Cottage Days" and embossed using Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Turquoise Shimmer" embossing powder.

Adhered all the elements to my card front.

On the inside: stamped the quote ("Remember That The Earth..." 8pce set) on the left side of the card using the black and clear embossed. (ps I normally don't stamp on the left side, but since there are several layers on my front, the stamping won't show through...)

Die cut the word "Summer" (available on Quietfire Design HERE) from more of the Brusho watercolor paper and adhered to inside.

Stamped the word "Memories" ("Life Journey Words" 6pce set) using the black and clear embossed.

Another of the Designs By Ryn stamps the sea spray bubbles, also cut from the Brusho watercolor paper, stamped with Distress "Mermaid Lagoon" and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Midnight Sky" embossing powder. Adhered to card along with the smallest starfish.

Stamped part of the "When I Saw This..."  stamp, masking off the upper section, using the black and clear embossing.

Hope you enjoy how I made this card.

Thinking Of You - Coneflower - Reminding One Another - Easel

Yogi here today... I wanted to do a multiple cascading type of word card... this is what evolved. BIG GRIN

I'm using one of the A Way With Words die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Thinking Of You" also available on Quietfire Design HERE.

I'm also using  an oldie but goodie quote stamp from Quietfire Design "Reminding One Another..." . And an eCut file "Coneflower" available on the  Silhouette onLine store

("Reminding One Another..."); Silhouette: "Coneflower"

Die cut my words Thinking Of You (on Quietfire Design HERE.) from white cardstock. Inked with Versafine "Vintage Sepia" and embossed with Emerald Creek Embossing powder - top one with a touch of "Thanksgiving" and "Chic Camo"; 2nd one down with just the chic camo; 3rd one down with "Oil Rubbed Bronze"; and the "of You" same as the top one.

Pounced acrylic daubers on my craft sheet (Mustard Seed", "Scattered Straw" and "Wild Honey", misted generously with water and smeared a 5" x 7" piece of white cardstock through the paint - just once to avoid muddying the colors... Dried.

Placed my words on the background and penciled in where I wanted my narrow horizontal strips to land, then cut the openings.

eCut the coneflowers (4 of them) from white cardstock. Sponged the flowers with "Picked Raspberry" then some "Mustard Seed"; the stem with "Forest Moss" and the cone head with  "Ground Espresso". Applied glue to the extra cone head piece and sprinkled with flower soft "Earth". Pressed the flower soft into the glue and set aside to dry. Used a pink colored pencil on the front flowers to delineate the petals and a scoring tool on the floor flower, then adhered the dried cone to flower. Adhered the flowers to the front layer. Then adhered the die cut words.

Stamped the leaves (Designs By Ryn "Hibiscus") inking the stamp with Mowed Lawn" and a touch of "Forest Moss". Fussy cut around it (I created another eCut file - I'm lazy...), adhered to front.

Scored and folded my white card to create the easel. Placed my front over the card and penciled in the opening, cut away and then adhered my front piece to the card front.

On the back of the front piece, sponged with "Shabby Shutters" and then "Tea Dye"

On the floor: Cut a piece of white cardstock and embossed the butterfly background (Craft Concepts "Wings") inking the folder with the mustard seed all over and here and there with the raspberry and "Cracked Pistachio", misting with water and embossing. Repeating to cover the whole cardstock. Adhered to floor.

Adhered a piece of orange/white polka dotted ribbon.

Adhered the 4th coneflower as a stopper.

Stamped the quote (Reminding One Another...) on white cardstock inking all over with the Sepia and here and there with Black Soot. Clear embossing. Die cut with Stitched Rectangles (Elizabeth Craft Designs), moving the die cut to cut a square shape... If you have the square set - all the better. Sponged with the mustard seed around the edges. Adhered to card floor.

As a final touch, I wanted a white background for when the card is closed, so adhered a piece of 5 x 8.5" white cardstock to the back of the card , scoring at the 7" point so it folds back when card is opened. See pics below.

With Sympathy - May Each Treasured Memory

Yogi here today. I used the sympathy die the other day, so it was still laying on my table... and then the Phoenix die is one of my newer dies that hasn't been put away yet... and you know the rest - one thing let to the next.

I'm using one of the "A WAY WITH WORDS dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "With Sympathy" ("designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE).

I'm also using a quote stamp  on the inside "May Each Treasured Memory..."  from Quietfire Design

Silhouette OnLine store: ("Butterfly Circle Frame")

Side folded my brownish toned card and spliced on another piece to create a 7"w x 5"h card.

Inked the embossing folder (Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Climbing Rose") using Distress "Ground Espresso", ran through e,bossing machine and then sponged "Antique Linen" all over, then used the Linen pad direct to paper to add depth. Trimmed down and adhered to front leaving a 1/8" border all around.

Adhered a piece of 1"h cream toned cardstock across the center, the width of my card. Adhered a piece of cream toned gauze ribbon.

Die cut 4 of the "Phoenix" shapes (Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Gemini Dies), sponged with "Wild Honey" on the flower, "Twisted Citron" on the leaves and "Mermaid Lagoon" on the scrolls. Adhered them together to create the frame and then fussy cut the excess overlap from the outer edges. Adhered to card front.

Die cut the "With Sympathy" (also available on Quietfire Design HERE) from white cardstock, inked with Versafine "Vintage Sepia" and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Burnt Copper Leaves" embossing powder. Adhered to card front. Final touch added white glitter enamel dots to the flower centers.

On the inside: stamped the quote ("May Each Treasured Memory...") using Distress Picket Fence pad, and embossing with white detail embossing powder.

Created an eCut file of the Peonies (Altenew), cut with my electronic cutter on CP watercolor paper (smooth side), stamped the Peonies then colored with Tombows, then spraying with Perfect Pearls "Perfect Pearls" mist. Adhered to inside.

The glittered butterflies are from eons ago eCut (Quietfire "Butterfly Circle Frame") from white cardstock colored with various distress colors and Stickles Dry Glitter "Star Dust" sprinkled on.
(PS this eCut makes a ton of beautiful butterflies...)

As a final touch added the white gel pen faux stitched border.

Easel - Holly & Ivy - May Your Longest List

It's Yogi here today on the Quietfire Creations blog and I wanted to use my Copic attachment for my air brush machine and the new Copic Sketch markers I got... BIG GRIN

I'm also using a couple dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs (ECD)

I'm using the newest "May Your Longest List..." from Quietfire Design as well as an eCut available on the Silhouette onLine store

("May Your longest List..."); eCut ("Holly & Ivy")

I scored and folded my red textured cardstock to create the easel (7"w x 5"h closed). Cut another red piece for the front.

As I mentioned above I used my Copic attachment for my airbrush machine spraying basic colors (YG03, G17, R08) through one of Tim's stencils (Holly Bough) on white cardstock.

Cut a piece of dark green textured cardstock as a frame with 1/2" borders. Adhered the two together and then tied a piece of red Sari ribbon/bow on the left side, then adhered it to the easel front.

eCut the "Holly & Ivy" from white cardstock. Applied Versafine Toffee all over and then embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Adhered it to front.

card closed

Die cut the holly branch (ECD) from white cardstock and hit with Distress pads "Shabby Shutters" & "Pine Needles". Then applied Stickles "Holly" with my finger on the leaves. Adhered to card and added red pearls.
On the floor: Dry Embossed it partially with Sheena Douglas "Holly " embossing folder - hit the high points with a dirty green sponge lightly. Stamped the quote ("May Your longest List...") with Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Die cut the holly leaves (ECD) hit direct to paper with the shabby shutters & "Mowed Lawn". Adhered to a small piece of cardstock to create my stopper. Colored the berries with "Fired Brick" and clear embossed then adhered to leaves then to the floor.

Color Burst Flowers - Hello - Those Who Find - BD Wishes

Yogi Here today using Color Burst powders by Ken Oliver that I recently acquired - very nice. They work as well as the Brusho's, but are easier to use since they already come in a nozzle type dispenser... There are only 6 colors at this time, so it's pretty hard to make a mistake with them. I like that Brusho's have 24 colors... So between the two products, I have lots to play with...

I'm using the newest "Hello" die on the outside; a quote stamp (Always Be My Friend... 3pce set) and sentiment stamp  (10 tiny tag sentiments 10pce set) on the inside from Quietfire Design as well as an eCut (Happy Birthday) from Suzanne available on the Silhouette onLine store.

Side folded my white cardstock (5"w x 7"h). Embossed using Ecstasy crafts "Leaves" embossing folder.

I sprinkled the ColorCraft powders onto misted Canson Biggie watercolor paper (smoother - backside), then misted some more. Dried and stamped the flowers (AlteNew ""Floral Motifs") using Versafine Toffee" and embossing with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Fussy cut around the flowers to create the border.

Used a slot punch to thread my salmon colored narrow ribbon through.

Adhered the border to the card front, adhering the ribbon tails to the inside.

Die cut the "Hello" from a scrap section of the background. Then cut 3 more layers, coloring them with a blue Prisma colored marker, as well as the edges of the first die cut. Adhered all 4 layers together and then onto card front.

Added the large mauve rhinestones to the flower centers.

On the inside: hit the high points of the embossed background using Distress "Iced Spruce" and then with "Peeled Paint". Adhered a piece of scrap paper towel (from my Gelli print session at Artsy market...) using a glue stick.

eCut the "birthday" at 5"w from white cardstock. Colored with a black watercolor marker, then applied Versamark and embossed with "Oak Leak Olive" embossing powder - twice - to get a nice thick coat.

Masked and stamped the "wishes" (10 tiny tag sentiments ) onto white cardstock with the black, punched it out with Whale of a Punch "Butterfly", sponged using dirty sponges (raspberry & yellow), adhered to birthday word.

eCut a bunch of flowers (AlteNew Floral Motifs") from translucent vellum, stamped with versamark and embossed with Queen's Gold. Adhered to card with Glossy Accents. (if you don't have an electronic cutter, just fussy cut around the stamping...)

Stamped the quote (Always Be My Friend... 3pce set) with the Black, clear embossed. Added faux stitch lines using a Prisma Colored Marker in an olive tone.

Calla Lilies - With Sympathy - May Each Treasured Memory

Yogi here today with a sympathy card. Hopefully I won't need it for a long time...

Suzanne recently came out with this new cutting file of a Calla Lily and an open frame card which you can find on the Silhouette onLine store I decided to add a couple more lilies... I used the lattice piece but opted for my own card shape which is 5"w x 7"h

I'm using sentiment stamp ("10 Tiny Sentiments" 10 pce set) on the outside and a quote ("May Each Treasured Memory...") on the inside from Quietfire Design

I scored and folded my white card. Embossed the front using Sheena Douglas "Ivy Frame" 5 x 7 embossing folder.

eCut the frame at 4.5"h from white cardstock. Sponged with various Distress "Old Paper" and browns. Inked with Versamark and embossed with Distress embossing powders, sprinkling a little "Brushed Corduroy", "Pumice Stone" & "Walnut Stain". Heat setting and then brushing off the excess crystals. Adhered to card front.

eCut the lilies from white cardstock, resizing the flower (white part) to 2.5"h and matching the other pieces to the flower to keep them in proportion. (I did this by placing all my elements on the mat, selecting them all, and then resizing in one shot). Added vein lines in the white part of the flower and the leaves using a small balled stylus. Used Distress colors "Shabby Shutters" and a bit of "Crushed Olive" direct to paper, and used a sponge to add the green to the base of the flower. Colored the yellow piece with "Mustard Seed", then added a glob of glue to the upper half and pressed a bright yellow flower soft into the glue. Set aside to dry.

Shaped the flower around a paint brush handle. When I got the shape I liked glued down the edge. Adhered the stem piece shaping it a bit by pinching to round the straight line. Put a dab of glue on the inside of the flower and adhered my yellow pistol.

Adhered the leaves and flower to my card front.

Stamped the sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx onto white cardstock. Trimmed close to stamping, rounded one end and added a green dragonfly brad

On the inside: stamped the quote with the black.

Stamped the Calla Lilies (Flourishes) using "Pumice Stone" all over then using Distress marker "Shabby Shutters" on the leafy areas, misted with water and stamped. Colored the pistols with a yellow colored pencil. Fussy cut around the flower. (actually eCut the shape after creating a silhouette image and then stamping the eCut...). adhered to inside of card.

Added a dotted border using a Faber Castell black marker.

Double Z Card - A Word Lovingly Written - A Book - HB

Yogi here today with a double "Z" card and using one of my favorite dies by Sue Wilson from Creative Expressions "Gemini - Delphinus"

I'm also using a quote stamps on the inside ("A Word Lovingly Written");  ("Nature Quote Marks" 7 pce set); ("Twirl & Enjoy" 3 pce set);  from Quietfire Design  and an eCut eCut  ("HB2U");  available on the Silhouette onLine store.

I Die cut my right and left side, then created my score lines... Since my cardstock was only 11"w, my front flaps were not 2.5" wide, so I added the green textured cardstock - it overlaps the fold edge by about 3/4".

I then added the ribbon stripe detail on either side.

Created a buckle type closure using white cardstock, scored and folded where needed and embossed with Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots" embossing folder. Hit high points with "Crushed Olive" & "Bundled Sage". Adhered it to the back of the card. Created a loop to slip my belt into and adhered to the end of the left side piece.

eCut the HB2U ("HB2U"); and a shadow eCut as well from white cardstock/ Colored the top layer with Distress acrylic daubers "Broken China" and then some "Cracked Pistachio" wiping off the excess with a paper towel. Adhered it to the white shadow layer. Die cut the two ovals (Spellbinders "Beaded Ovals") and painted the larger one with the blue & green. The smaller one I sponged with "Forest Moss". Adhered everything together. Adhered to buckle loop.

Stamped the "Enjoy Your Day"  ("Twirl & Enjoy" 3 pce set); with Versafine Black Onyx, clear embossed and cut with my EK Success circle scissor. Adhered to the backside of the buckle loop.

Then back on the front side, added small white half pearls in each scallop, then added Glossy Accents around each bead. Now I'm positive those beads won't fall off...

On the inside adhered the yellow striped floral scrapbook paper - (Reminds me of olden day wallpaper...).

Stamped the tower of books (Stampers Anonymous "Schoolhouse Blueprint" set), then scanned it, removed the blueprint lines and printed, then colored with watercolors. Fussy cut around it and adhered to the inside.

Stamped the two quotes  ("A Word Lovingly Written"); ("Nature Quote Marks" 7 pce set); using the black. Added the glittered butterfly (from a previous eCut project)

Hope you have fun trying this card structure. Click on any image to enlarge. Enjoy

Double Flap Card - Friends Are Those - Happy Birthday

Yogi here today with a double flap card, also called a "Joy Fold Card". I used to make this type of card eons ago, but one of my quilling friends brought it back to my attention... so had to make one again BIG GRIN

I cut my dark green textured cardstock 6" x 12" and scored at 6" to create the base card.

Cut my cream toned card 10.75" x 4.75", scored in half (approx 5.4") (ps I use a 10ths ruler...)

Front: Embossed one side of the cream cardstock using Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Matelasse" embossing folder. Hit the high points with Distress "Bundled Sage" and on the back side "Peeled Paint". Adhered the unembossed side to the right inside flap, making sure when the flaps are closed there is no interference and keeping the borders equal. I then cut a piece of the green cardstock and adhered to the cream cardstock, both on the front flap and the inside so it had the appearance of the same border all around...

eCut the word "Ginkgo" and a shadow layer from white cardstock. Inked the word layer using Versafine "Toffee" and embossing with "Paprika". Inked the shadow layer with the toffee, adhered the word layer, and then embossed with "Detail Gold". (PS your ink should be juicy, so you have enough time to glue your word piece before your ink dries...). Adhered to card front. eCut the ginkgo leaves from cream toned cardstock, embossed vein lines using a small balled stylus, then hit the leaf direct to paper with the sage pad. adhered the leaves to the front.

Back side of front flap: I used Peeled Paint, direct to paper on the backside.
For the quote, I cut away the word "home" from the "May Your Home" stamp, and inserted the word "day" from the "Valentine" stamp set, inked with Versafine, Black Onyx and clear embossed on cream toned cardstock. Trimmed down, sponged edges with the Peeled Paint, hit the edge with the pad to get a darker edge and adhered to another piece of cream cardstock, trimmed down using my "layering Ruler" set, then adhered to card flap. Raided my butterfly stash and adhered the butterfly.

Main Card Flap:  Die cut the Spellbinders "Labels 41 - Decorative Accents" largest frame from cream toned cardstock, sponged with the Peeled Paint and adhered to card flap. Stamped the quote ("Friends Are Those...") using the black, then used the die to trace the inside contour and fussy cut around it. adhered to flap. added the 4 amber pearls.

Left Inside Flap:  Stamped the ginkgo leaves using Distress greens, misted with water and stamped on cream cardstock. Repeated till I filled the area. Trimmed down, and used a circle punch to nick the corners.

Stamped the flourish frame using the toffee and embossing with Queen's Gold. Stamped the frame again on another piece of cream cardstock and fussy cut the inside contour. Stamped the "Happy Birthday" using the black and clear embossed. Adhered to card flap. Added a couple tiny butterflies from my stash.

Inside:  The cream cardstock is the unembossed side of the front flap. I had added the green strip on the right side to give the illusion of an equal border frame around.

Stamped the ginkgo leaves using the distress and various greens, misting with water on white cardstock. Fussy cut around them (or you can create a silhouette image and eCut them... which is really what I did). Adhered to card.

Stamped the flowers (Altenew "Floral Motifs") onto a cream toned vellum using the toffee and embossing with the Queen's Gold. These I really fussy cut around... Added some Quickie Glue pen to the centers and sprinkled with Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter "Gold". Adhered to card using 3D foam squares in the center only. Tied a fork bow from a salmon colored narrow ribbon and adhered to card. Added another butterfly from my stash.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and maybe you'll give it a try... Have a great and creative day.

Slainte My Friend

Yogi here today with a St Patrick's Day easel card... It is around the corner BIG GRIN

All cut from white cardstock... Card closed 6"w x 6"h

I die cut the largest of the Creative Expression (Sue Wilson "Scandinavian Collection - Stockholm") set for the front of the card, sponged through the die using Distress "Scattered Straw". (I used both the scrolled part and the outside edge. Then cut an under layer using just the outside edge die.

For the easel part, I folded my cardstock in half, placed the outside edge die just slightly over the folded edge and die cut, then folded the front half in half to create the easel. Adhered the solid base.

eCut the word "Slainte" at approximately 6" wide. Colored with Distress acrylic daubers "Mustard Seed" while still on the mat. Removed from mat and applied Versamark all over (except the shamrock) and embossed with a yellowish embossing powder "Honey". Applied Quickie Glue pen to the shamrock and sprinkled with Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter "Chartreuse". Cut a bit between some of the letters to allow me to curve the word, and glued it to the front edge, just on the tips of the letters. Adhered the scrolled piece.

eCut the "Shamrock Flourish" in 2 sizes - 1 at approx 2." and 1 at 4". While on the mat, swished a "Mowed Lawn" acrylic dauber over the flourishes leaving streaks - almost like a dry brush technique. Removed from mat and adhered the larger one to the front of the card. Masked off the quote stamp ("This is my Beloved") with a piece of tape to leave only the "my friend" for inking with Versafine Black Onyx. Removed the tape and stamped, then clear embossed.

Die cut some roses (Marianne Creatables) from textured heavy weight stationary paper, swished the mustard seed dauber over the die cut, working from the center out to the edges to give a streaky effect. Then very lightly went over it with "Rusty Hinge". Coiled them and adhered them to my card front.

Tied a multi loop fork type bow from green narrow ribbon. Adhered with a glue gun. As a final touch on the front, added one of my little yellow quilled lady bugs.

Die cut another solid piece for the floor. Inked up a Hero Arts "Bead Background" stamp with Scattered Straw, misted with water and stamped. Dried. Used the eraser part of a pencil, inked with Mustard Seed and stamped on each of the beads (they're diamond shaped and I wanted circles...), then embossed with the Honey. (see detail pic below). Adhered to floor.

Die cut the 2 small solid pieces, sponged the larger one with the Mustard Seed. The smaller one I used the Mowed Lawn dauber, streaking the surface through the die. Removed from dies and adhered together. Stamped the sentiment with the black and clear embossed. Cut off the shamrock from the smaller flourish I cut above, applied glue and sprinkled with the Chartreuse glitter. Adhered to flourish end of sentiment.

Used 3D foam tape (a double layer) , positioned it on the floor and then fussy cut a little notch for the front to fit in to use as a stopper. Adhered the die cuts.

As a final touch added some light green rhinestones to some of the dots.

Yogi - Easel Love - Words of Love - HB card

Yogi here today with a Valentine's Birthday card... It's that time of year for me where there are lots of birthdays scrunched within the next couple months.

I die cut the largest of the Spellbinders "Labels 42 Decorative Accents" frame from white cardstock, sponged through the die using a dirty pink sponge. Stamped the largest FLOURISH using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Used the negative of the die cut to scan and then cut a shadow layer using my electronic cutter. Hit the edges with Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Adhered both layers together with 3D foam tape.

Used the same scanned image to create my easel card, welding 2 frames together, selecting all, and increasing the size to 10" high so I would end up with a 5"h card when folded. Scored and folded the easel and adhered the decorative layer.

eCut the word "Love with a Flourish" as well as a shadow layer from white cardstock, inked the first layer with the Toffee and embossed with the gold. Hit the shadow layer with Distress "Picked Raspberry", then with Versamark, then adhering the first layer to the shadow layer as quickly as possible so the shadow layer was still wet enough to clear emboss. Adhered to card front.

Tied a double peg bow from 1.5"w Fuchsia gauze ribbon. adhered to card with a glue gun. Used a small left over piece to adhere under the "e" on the right side.

Die cut the 2 smaller hearts (Spellbinders "Nested Hearts")  from white cardstock, sponged edges with Picked Raspberry and clear embossed. adhered one to the other and then added a small flap on the back to create my stopper for the easel.

Cut the Happy Birthday - plain & simple sentiment in half and stamped using the black.

Stamped the "Words of Love..." quote using the black and clear embossed.

Added a mauve heart button tied with some fuchsia string and adhered using the glue gun. Added some white pearl flourishes.
