Hasheck here today and once again, I am honored to be sharing a card with you
as a guest design team member. Quietfire Design’s “Just Living is Not Enough”
stamp is the focus of this card and one of my favorites from Suzanne Cannon. I
am also sharing a new to me fun fold and here are the directions for this card:
1.Cut an A2 sized (8 ½” x 5 ½”) card
base out of yellow cardstock and fold in half.
2.Using temporary tape, attach the
folded card to a craft mat and tape down the sunshine stencil from The
Crafter’s Workshop over the card. Sponge Mustard Seed Distress Ink through the
stencil holes, then remove the stencil.
3.Die cut a stitched square with a Lil’
Inker die out of the middle left of the card front and stamp the “Just Living”
sentiment in the center of the cut out stitched square.
4.Cut a piece of floral designer paper
(mine was from The Paper Studio) 5 inches by 7 ½ inches and score at 2 ½” and
5” on the long side.
5.Stamp “Wishing You” from the WishingYou Whimsy stamp set on the left third towards the top. Die cut and attach
“Love” below it. I had to trim just a bit of the swirls on the Quietfire
Designs “Love” so it fit on the folded piece.
6.Attach the floral piece with adhesive
only on the far left side of the folded designer paper to the inside of the
card.
7.Fold the floral dp in thirds and from
the front, attach the square sentiment piece so it fits perfectly in the square
hole in the front.
8.Die cut Tim Holtz’s Wildflower out of
green and pink cardstock, and attach the flower to the front of the card.
I had so much fun playing with Quietfire Design’s gorgeous stamps and
dies and hope you have enjoyed the cards I shared as a guest design team member
here.
[Thanks so much for joining us Karen and sharing your awesome projects!
Kathy Jo here thinking of gardens of flowers. Yes, spring has sprung here in Nova Scotia and I am loving it! The grass is green, tulips will soon be in bloom and all the garden perennials are happily starting to pop up through the soil. The world has awoken and I am taking it all in!
The stamp is like a breath of fresh air and I cannot help but smile when I read it.
The stamp was applied using Jet Black Archival Ink on Graphic 45's Secret Garden's paper. The paper was fussy cut, mounted onto the card base and Stickles was applied to flower centers and all of the leaves.
Such a lovely stamp! It would look great on a Garden Journal cover or on a summer scrapbook page.
Suzanne amazes me with her gorgeous calligraphy- whether on stamps, dies or stencils. Her work is always inspiring!
Love this stamp? Lucky you: this stamp and other Garden/Nature stamps are on sale right now!
Yogi here today with a CAS- one layer card. Easy Peasy... using a stencil and embossing folder for the background. Love the little butterflies - they make me smile, which in the frame of mind I'm in is a good thing. I'm using a Quietfire Design quote stamp "Just Living is Not Enough..." Click on any image to enlarge. Enjoy
Scored and side folded my white cardstock (5"w x 7"h).
Masked off the parts of the stencil (Crafter's Workshop "Tuscan Wall") I wasn't using. Sponged Distress "Old Paper" all over the brick wall part. Then went over some areas with a dirty brown sponge.
Masked off everything but the ivy on the stencil and sponged with "Mowed Lawn". Used my hard rubber mallet to randomly emboss the brick wall (Taylored Expressions "Bricks") here and there.
Stamped the quote using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.
Die cut the flower spring (Memory Box "Honey Blossom"). Sponged "Mustard Seed" and "Wild Honey" on the flowers and "Forest Moss" on the leaves and stem. Adhered to card.
Die cut a bunch of tiny butterflies (Memory Box "Butterfly Delights") from some Brusho colored watercolor paper I had in my stash. As a final touch added some Stickles dry glitter "Thistle" to the centers of the flowers with a Quickie Glue pen.
Hi everyone it's Teresa here on this beautiful Monday with a pretty spring card that i did with the brand new stamp "Just living is not enough". I wanted to really bring out the idea of the flower that was in the sentiment so i did it with some pretty papers from Teresa Collins i had in my stash.
I wanted to keep it simple and only use the papers so i layered a light cream piece of the printed paper on a white card and on top of that another layer of green and then the coral dot. And i have lots of doilies so i slid one under the oval that i stamped on to give it a little lacier effect.
I stamped the card with Ranger Archival ink in coffee to match the paper and then added some tiny white pearls dots around the outside edges and let them dry. And to finish it i fussy cut one of the flowers out in the paper and then added 2 yellow ones over it and a few tiny roses. It's super easy and simple and you could make a couple of them to send out to friends tonight.
Thanks so much for stopping over and hope you have a wonderful day!!
It was stamped using Jet Black Archival Ink onto ivory paper from Basic Grey's Serenade collection. It was die cut using Spellbinders' Stately Circles.
Green card stock was die cut using Spellbinders' Wreath die set. The larger wreath die cuts had Inka Gold applied as shown. Light green patterned paper (Basic Grey Serenade) was dry embossed, covered with Distress Ink (Picket Fence) and heat embossed. It was layered on polka dot paper from the same paper collection. The tent fold base was created using orange card stock
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring a new Quietfire Design stamp 'Just Living is not Enough' and two Quietfire Design Floral Motif digital cutting files.
I adore this quote by Hans Christian Andersen, and it is the perfect touch for many scrapbook pages. The calligraphic style of Suzanne Cannon makes it so very special.
I cut the flower border and a tag from the Quietfire Floral Motif card and QF Floral Motif Box, Placecard and Label set with my Sizzix Eclips2. These cutting files come with a variety of designs within them, but I just ungrouped the images, picked the ones I wanted them and resized to fit my page. Ah, the beauty of electronic die cutting machines.... so much flexibility. The files are available as svg files from the Quietfire Design website or through the Silhouette Cameo store as studio files. Think of the possibilities.
The patterned paper and banner diecut is from Creative Memories. I put a strip of washi tape at the top and bottom of the 12x12 piece of paper and stitched over this with my sewing machine to create a bit of interest at the top of the page. Simple and done. Thanks for looking!
I started with an A2 top-fold card base. I stamped my sentiment on white cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx ink. I die cut the sentiment using the Oval Stitch and Cut Tool Lge and matted it with the Oval Classic Large Stacker die, both from Cheery Lynn Designs.
For the background, I cut a 4-1/2" x 6" piece of white cardstock and backed it with Stick-It adhesive. I centered the Meriterranean Lace Rectangle Frame die from Cheery Lynn designs on the right side of the paper and cut it out. I then adhered this die cut to a purple base and trimmed to 3-5/8" x 4-7/8". Then I adhered that to another piece of purple cardstock and trimmed a small border.
Next I ran a 4-1/2" long piece of 5/8" Delphinium Diamond Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon across the center of the card and adhered it to the back. Then I cut a 4-1/4" long piece of 3/8" wide Purple and Green Confetti Dots Grosgrain Ribbon and dove-tailed the ends. I adhered that to the top of the first ribbon strip. Next I adhered a piece of white mulberry paper to the back of this panel and feathered the edges by wetting first with water and then tearing. Then I adhered this to the base card.
Add the sentiment panel to the center of the card with foam squares to give it a little dimension.
Create the daisy flower with the Shasta Daisy die from Cheery Lynn Designs and add the Olive branches greenery to each side.
My beautiful bi-color, double-loop bow was created with two ribbon styles from my March Ribbon Club assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The theme for the March assortment is Spring and this assortment contains a variety of colors and styles that lend themselves to projects with a spring theme. This bow was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0.
I just love creating cards around inspiring sentiments and Quietfire Design is the perfect place to find lots of wonderful sentiment stamps and other great papercrafting supplies.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you liked my card.
I started with a 5" square of Glossy Cardstock. I stamped the flower image (Tim Holtz) with Versamark Ink repeating until I had as many images as I wanted. Over this I inked with Distress Inks Vintage Photo and Barn Door using a Mini Blending Tool. The Versamark Ink resists the Distress Ink and the flowers pop. I then stamped the flowers again using Barn Door and dried the ink with a heat tool. Next I pressed a damp towel over the whole panel and dried it which gave the ink a light speckled look. I stamped the quote with Archival Ink Jet Black, dried it with a heat tool and then cut it from the background using a Stitched Square Die (Elizabeth Craft Designs). I distressed the edges of the background, layered it to Glossy Black Cardstock, and attached the square with Kool Tak Clear Adhesive Foam exactly where it had been cut from. This means the background images flow right across the square even though it is popped up from the background. A White Paint Pen (Posca) was used to put dots right on top of the dots cut with the die. The edges of the black panel were distressed, black twine tied around the layered panel and it was attached to the folded red card. Live was die cut from white cardstock and from black cardstock, adhered together offset a bit and attached to the card as shown.
We are here to tell you all about them and share some ideas for using our brand new stamps!
The first one is a quote I first lettered about 10 years ago and it seems to me it was a challenge for the byhandartists. But ahem. Those details escape me! If anyone remembers, let me know!
I always thought this was the sweetest little quote. It makes me think of spring. Our croci (crocuseseseses?) and baby iris(es) are blooming their hearts out and it's a beautiful day on the westcoast.
The Quietfire Design Team has been itching to get their fingers on these stamps. Those that have them already have created great beauty to share with you. I've added links to their blogs and their projects will be along soon so you check all the details on each gorgeous work of art!
