There are Always Flowers Card

Hey Quietfire Fans! I'm hoping that Spring will be right around the corner and with the thought of Spring on my mind, I created this pretty There are Always Flowers which features a variety of Quietfire Design Stamps and A Way With Words dies. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as you learn how to recreate my card at home.

To start, apply Emboss It Ink to the floral banner from the Floral Banner & Quote Stamp Set and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Sprinkle Midnight Black Embossing Powder overtop of the stamped image. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Fussy cut the flower image out. Using Tombow Markers 743 and 177, watercolour the flower image in. Ink the edges of the flower image using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to the Grid Background stamp and stamp off onto a piece of paper and then stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Repeat the previous step to fill the rest of the paper. Die cut the 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of the now stamped paper. Once the 3 1/2" rectangle is die cut, die cut the 3" Stitched Rectangle out of the 3 1/2" stitched rectangle. Apply Emboss It Ink to the quote and stamp onto the grid rectangle. Sprinkle Midnight Black Embossing Powder overtop of the stamped saying. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges of each piece. Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Wood Effect paper, choose one of the papers. Die cut the 4 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Butterfly Dream paper, choose one of the papers. Die cut the 4" Stitched Rectangle out of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the Flourished Frame out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Adhere the 4" stitched rectangle to the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle. Adhere the flourished frame to the 4" stitched rectangle.

Adhere the saying rectangle to the grid frame on an angle. Foam square the frame and saying rectangle to the middle of the 4" stitched rectangle. Foam square the floral banner underneath the saying.

To finish off your card, cut a cardbase that measures 5 3/4" x 9", score at 4 1/2". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few close up's of my There are Always Flowers Card.

Thanks so much for joining me today and taking a look at my project! I hope that I've inspired you to want to recreate my card at home.
