It's Suzanne here to share something a little different. If you've hung around with me long enough, you'll know this style isn't too much of a surprise. I love shabby elegance!
Here is how you can make this card.
Supplies:
Quietfire Happy Birthday from Elizabeth Craft Designs
Core'dinations French Roast cardstock
Staples White #110 Cardstock
Distress Rock Candy Crackle
Distress Weather Wood, Worn Lipstick and Vintage Photo
Ink Blending tool
Golden Gesso
Palette Knives
Star Rondelle Beads
Mini-Brads
Mini-tags
piece of corrugated cardboard
Ranger Collage Glue stick
Transfer foil
Tombow 3D Foam Tabs
Instructions:
- Form a 5x7" card base from French Roast cardstock.
- Die cut Happy Birthday from white cardstock and sponge around the edges with Weathered Wood. Allow to dry. Apply medium thickness coating of crackle medium and allow to air dry and crackle. Sponge with Vintage Photo and rub excess off with fingers, pushing ink into the cracks. Add some highlights with Worn Lipstick and more Weathered Wood.
- Tear a piece of corrugated cardboard and peel some of the top layer off to expose the corrugation. Spread Gesso over the surface. Allow to dry.
- Sponge Vintage Photo onto mini-tags. Allow to dry. Swipe with glue stick and allow the glue to become tacky then press transfer foil onto surface. Do the same in various place on the Happy Birthday diecut. Assemble brads, beads and mini-tags as shown and adhere to project with foam tabs.
- Adhere Happy Birthday die cut to surface with foam tabs.
- Attach decorative bead and mount corrugated cardboard onto card base with foam tabs.
