The Music in my heart...

Hello Crafty Friends!  Did you all enjoy the Quietfire Quick FX stencil blog hop?  It was a great week here at Quietfire Creations as we were able to share projects using Quietfire Designs' Stencils along with other Quietfire Design products...such as the newly released stamps.  Oh- there are so many delicious new stamps released!  The stamp I used today is one of the new releases: The music in my heart.  I cannot help but think of my mom after reading this stamp as she used to love to sing and play a guitar.  Even though I cannot hear her music anymore, I have the fondest memories of her music.  The stamp would be perfect on a scrapbook page of her.  Also, it would be great on a card to send to a friend to let them know you are thinking of them or a happy moment shared together.  The project I am sharing today is a card for a friend.
Instructions:

  • A square tent fold card was created using ivory paper.
  • Two layers of Tim Holtz paper was cut smaller than the card base and adhered as shown.
  • Tim Holtz music patterned paper was torn, Distress Paint (Picket Fence) was applied and dried.  It was adhered to the card base.
  • A canvas doily was glued to the base.
  • The quote was stamped onto scrap patterned paper using Jet Black Archival Ink.
  • Tim Holtz' flowers (from Botanical Layers) was adhered to the sentiment and the scrap paper was fussy cut around the flowers.
  • Double faced foam tape was used to secure it onto the canvas doily.
  • Stickles and pearls were added.
  • A triple bow using Ivory Wrinkled Ribbon was adhered.
  • A butterfly from the Botanical layers was the finishing touch- glued to the bow center.

Thanks for stopping by.  I do hope you enjoyed the card!

May you always have beautiful music long after it was heard no more.

Hugs,
Kathy Jo
