Congratulations Card

Hey Quietfire Fans! Spring has finally arrived here on the west coast of Canada and with the thought of Spring on my mind, I created this bright and cheery Congratulations Card which features a variety of Quietfire Design Stamps and A Way With Words dies. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage as you learn how to recreate my card at home.

To start, using a blending tool with foam, blend Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink overtop of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the Star spray from the Butterflies & Stars Spray out of the yellow paper. You'll need to choose nine of the stars.

From the Flourished Frame die, die cut the scrolls twice out of black cardstock.

From the Flourished Oval Frame die, die cut the frame out of black cardstock.

Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the 3" Stitched Rectangle die out of a piece of watercolour cardstock. On the watercolour cardstock rectangle, sprinkle Rosebud, Aquamarine and Mango Tango over the cardstock. Spritz the powder with water. Once the piece of cardstock has dried, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Crackle Background stamp and stamp randomly on the piece of cardstock. Reapply the ink as desired to the stamp. Distress the edges of each rectangle. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 2 1/4" Fitted Oval out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Sprinkle Rosebud Magenta Nuance powder overtop of the oval. Spritz the powder with water. Once the oval has dried, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Crackle Background and stamp randomly onto the oval. Reapply ink as desired to the stamp. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Congratulations stamp and stamp in the middle of the oval. Ink the edges of the oval using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere one of the scrolls to the bottom portion of the 3" coloured rectangle. Adhere the other scroll to the top portion of the 3" coloured rectangle, making sure the scrolls match up at the top and bottom as close as possible. Foam square the 3" coloured rectangle to the 3 1/2" White Soft Finish Cardstock rectangle.

Foam square the Congratulations oval to the middle of the 3" coloured rectangle. Adhere the Flourished Oval Frame to the congratulations oval.

Adhere the stars as desired around the Congratulations saying. To finish off the card, cut a card base out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 3 1/2" x 9 1/2", score at 4 3/4". Adhere the card front to the card base.

Here are a few close up's of my Congratulations Card.

Thanks so much for joining me today and taking a look at my project! I hope that I've inspired you to want to recreate my card at home.
