Happy Birthday Card

Hey Quietfire Fans! For today's project I'm sharing with you my Happy Birthday Card. By combining a variety of stamps, dies and Modern Gilding Powder, they were perfect for creating my card. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Happy Birthday Card at home.

Start by cutting a piece of Botanical Collage paper and a piece of white cardstock that measures 4" x 6". Adhere the collage paper to the white cardstock using a glue stick. Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of the botanical collage paper.

Using a blending tool with foam, blend Distress Oxide Ink in Faded Jeans, Cracked Pistachio and Vintage Photo onto the rectangle. Spritz the rectangle with water. Dry the rectangle with a heat tool.

Apply Walnut Stain Distress Ink to the Grid Background stamp and stamp randomly on the rectangle. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. You'll need to stamp a total of five times. Dry the background piece.

Apply Emboss It Ink to the tea ring stamp from the Tea & Thee stamp set and stamp onto the rectangle as desired. Reapply ink to the stamp. You'll need to stamp a total of five times. Sprinkle Copper Scroll Modern Gilding Powder over the stamped images. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 2 1/2" Stitched Oval out of a piece of white cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Distress Oxide Ink in Faded Jeans, Cracked Pistachio and Vintage Photo onto the oval. Spritz the oval with water. Dry the oval with a heat tool. Apply Walnut Stain Distress Ink to the Grid Background stamp and stamp randomly on the oval. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. You'll need to stamp a total of four times. Dry the background piece.

Apply Emboss It Ink to the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Twiggy Wreath and Sentiments stamp set and stamp onto the middle of the oval. Sprinkle Copper Scroll Modern Gilding Powder over the sentiment. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Distress the edges of the oval. Ink the edges of the oval using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Emboss It Ink to the tea ring from the Tea & Thee stamp set and stamp randomly on the oval four times. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. Sprinkle Gothic Black Modern Gilding Powder over the stamped rings. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Die cut the Flourished Oval Frame out of a piece of kraft cardstock.

Die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of kraft cardstock. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Next, you'll need the medium flourish from the Flourished Corners stamp set. Apply Emboss It Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of white cardstock. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp again onto the same piece of white cardstock. Sprinkle Gothic Black Modern Gilding Powder over the stamped images. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Fussy cut the corner out. Ink the edges of the corners using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere one flourished corner to the top right corner of the 4" kraft rectangle. Adhere the other flourished corner to the bottom left corner of the 4" kraft rectangle.

Adhere the 3 1/2" background to the 4" kraft cardstock rectangle.

Adhere the flourished oval frame to the stitched oval, placing the flourish as desired. Foam square the stitched oval to the middle of the 3 1/2" rectangle.

Cut a piece of white cardstock that measures 4" x 10 1/2", score at 5 1/4". To finish the card, adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
