Christmas Waves a Magic Wand with Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet!
Good morning! Sherry here with you today and I have a Christmas Home Décor Project to share with you.
When I’m out junk store shopping, I like to pick up little frames or other small cheap items that I can keep in my stash that can be altered later on. Today’s project is one of those finds . . . a 69¢ frame that was oak in color before I started.
I painted the frame a vintage white and then covered the front with a piece of Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Collection. To cover the frame, I first added some double-sided tape to the frame, trimmed away the excess and then placed it on the back of the paper I was using. This way I could easily cut away the excess from two of the sides and the middle. The edges were sanded a little, sponged with some Antique Linen Distress Ink and then highlighted with a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen.
The stamp used is from the new Christmas Collection, “Christmas Waves A Magic Wand”. It was embossed with gold embossing powder and then die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM. The sentiment panel was then trimmed with the same Krylon Gold Leafing Pen.
The flower was made with another piece of the Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet Collection that was die cut/embossed with Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia. A few flourishes were die cut from a manila tag with Spellbinders Foliage Two and painted gold with the Krylon Gold Leafing Pen. A couple of pine branches were die cut from another manila tag with Spellbinders Fall Foliage and painted with Pine Needles Distress Stain. There were all added behind the assembled poinsettia along with a couple of corsage pins that had been painted gold.
Thanks for joining me today!
