Gifts for Wine lovers

There are lots of new projects being shared with all the new release of stamps

 coming out this month and i jumped at the chance to create with the 

brand new Wine is sunlight stamps too.  

To be quite honest i was only going to do the coasters but then i started 

stamping and had so much fun i kept on going with them.

Living in Southern California we have lots of winery's scattered 

everywhere and now that wine bars have become a social place to

 be there are lots more of them starting up again.  So i decided to 

make a few tags and the coasters so that i have some special ones

 to give for gifts maybe for the holidays.

The coasters are actually really easy to do and i used Tsukinko Momento 

Luxe ink on them for mixed media projects and it worked really great.  

I used watercolor markers to color in the design on it but i think that sharpies

 would be better when you finish them with a decoupage glaze to seal them.

Mine ran a little but i like it.  I also added a backing of pretty wine colored 

paper and sealed that too.  These would be a great gift to tuck in along with

 that bottle of wine you are sharing at the party.....

This tag was really fun to do.  I cut it out with a new Spellbinders die

and stamped the beautiful sentiment in the center.  Then i inked it with pink

and lavender inks to match and finished it with ribbons and pearls and 

a few roses that i had in my stash.  The little bits of gold are done by

sprinkling on the powder on the top and heating from underneath.

it's a fun trick and you can really fancy up your projects by doing it.
